I’m making this post because I want to get a bit of clarification, I’d like to hear from other people in the community, especially those who play high mobility heroes, and potentially some tech experts
(Tracer, Genji, Sombra, Doomfist etc), how often do you predict a cc ability, successfully juke it, only to be teleported back to your original position and get hit by said ability?
I know that this happens to other players, I’m just not sure how often or how much it impacts your game. For me, it’s making the game unplayable.
I’m trying to figure out if this is entirely normal or if some combination of input lag/my own internet is making the game unplayable for me.
I recently played on NA which is usually 120-150ms for me and I am a Tracer main. Tracer is ENTIRELY unplayable on NA ping, I can dodge a cc ability and get hit by it up to about 0.5 seconds later, which is an eternity in competitive fps gaming, granted that’s on NA but I have the same issue just to a slightly lesser extent on EU servers.
I have fibre internet, I live in the UK so it’s not amazing compared to some other EU countries but I get about 200mb download and 20mb upload, ping usually fairly stable at 32-40 ingame when playing on EU servers. I also don’t have the best PC but I usually don’t drop below 110-120fps and play on very low graphics settings to try to decrease input lag.
It’s also worth mentioning that I have changed my ISP, had multiple engineers test the line etc and still face the same issues.
I have also recently noticed some server lag and disconnects not only on my side but noticing other players struggle with this too.
Is this a me problem or are the servers just going to hell lately? The issue seems to have gotten progressively worse over time.
