Feedback and review

I really like overwatch. I bought it 2 months after launch and played on/off since then. At the beginning there were some balancing issues and you tried to fix them. But now there are way to many things wrong with that game. I’ll start with Reinhardt my main since season 1. I loved playing him and he really was viable every time. I understand that some people did not like it that everyone needed a rein in a good comp. Your response to that (i feel at least) is to add new heroes that, not really counter him but just completely mess up the enjoyment of his gameplay. 1 brigitte and doomfist can’t kill him but just cc him so much that it really enrages me. Since we’re already at brigitte. All new heroes that were added since release with a few exeptions brought great unbalance in the game. The first one was ana with a too powerful nanoboost which got nerfed but she still has a Biotic grenade with 10 seconds cooldown which can completely negate a whole ultimate ability (zenyatta). The next hero was Sombra. She came out too weak and got buffed she brought in a new form of cc the hack and my guess is that she was the first to take on reinhardt. After a few changes I am happy to feel that when someone is a good sombra they really disrupt a game. But even bad sombras can simply rightclick on someone and they are unable to do anything for 6 whole seconds. combine that with her ult and doomfist, reinhardt, bastion, genji, pharra, tracer, brigitte, lucio, zenyatta, zarya and winston. Can do barely anything exept die for 12 seconds. next up is orisa. another take on rein, trying to replace him as a shield tank and also adding more abillities to the kit, already done with sombra. She is also able to shut down rein by pushing him around with right click and his charge with her fortify. but that wasn’t too bad she didn’t come out too strong or too weak and felt more or less balanced. So we come to Doomfist. A hero which can oneshot any hero with 250 hp but additional to 1 dash oneshot (like rein) he got 3 more movement abilities (including ult). so he was way too fast for most players at the beginning. and through adding more oneshots which feel like having no counterplay (unlike snipers, at least I feel that they are good if the headshot me all the time.) and beeing easy to hit and also very low rist because his ult is a free getaway but in addition to that he can uppercut and seismic slam across half of the map. also if mastered his shotgun deals absolute massive damage even more than reaper who only has shotguns as damage. Then came moira. A more agressive take on healer. with an auto lock damage beam (like symmetra which got changed around then and that lock-on got removed) but moira has twice that range. Her damaging ball is able to kill any 200 health hero with barely any counterplay as it is faster than the average hero and goes through shields and if aimed correctly also easily around corners. adding to that is her fade which is a easy getaway move to escape any divers she can’t easily kill. But now comes her ult. A beam that heals her, her team and also damages every enemy through shields and almost any other form of defences and also giving her increased movement speed. it is very hard to hit her small hitbox but add to that laserbeams everywhere and also increased movement speed+self healing and you got yourself an almost unkillable laserturret on wheels. Now we’re comming to brigitte our favourite off tank, off dps and off healer. She’s able to oneshot any 200 health target with a simple combo. she can interrupt almost every ult there is. she can heal every non tank to full health and add armor ontop of that. she has a small amp it up whenever she hits an enemy hero and ontop of that her ult gives her more movement speed and adds 100 armor to all teammates around her. Adding to that her ability to stop any dash in the game and also making reinhardt players have suicidal thoughts for the rest of the day because when ulting she can outdamage this giant man in a rocketpowered armor with a hammer as big as her. but even when shes not ulting, she can enable her team to burst him down in the time when he is stunned through his shield by her dash. When brigitte came out I started to think that every overwatch hero gets easier and less punishing and through that lots of older heroes get outmatched by some new ones. So i was happy when wrecking ball was anounced. Not a stale and basic hero which can cancel everything and ignores shields completely. And he was fun to play. But since I play mainly competetive he was not really viable for that. Wrecking ball is once in 10 matches fitting to the team comp and then he has to be played right. Currently most wrecking balls i see just roll into the enemy team with half of the teammates dead, and feeding ult. But thats ok since overwatch is not a purely competetive game and the players need some fun heroes once in a while. But now let me get to the changes to existing heroes.

I mentioned that reinhardt was always strong and in the center of the meta. Since then some heroes were released and changed to change that, which didn’t really work in my opinion. But since then his simple kit had so many small changes that at this state right now, his ult doesn’t work 70% of the time (at least in my games) I’ll link some youtube videos at the end of this.

Roadhog had an extremely strong hook at release in which he could hook into a small house and 90% hit someone and can oneshot them. After some years of changes and fixes, he feels like his hook is a wet noodle and hits 60% of the time when it should really hit. I also have a youtube video regarding that. But also his shotgun and heal changes are absurd. I like the shotgun change from damage down and ammo up, he was able to easily oneshot almost any hero if they were hooked but now, it is a 50/50 chance of how much damage it deals. For example I hooked a widowmaker (with no armor or any ressistances) and headshotted her (all pellets hit) and she still had around 20% hp left and was able to hook away in my confusion. later in that same match i hooked her down from high ground but now shot her in the body and she died from that shot. Now roadhogs heal. The old one was good. it heals half health but he trades in movement and is defenceless while healing. The new change gave him 50% damage resisstance which would be fine. but also added that he is able to walk around freely without any movement speed reduction while healing which makes his way too strong in my opinion (I also played roadhog since season one) and He really doesn’t feel like roadhog anymore.

I wouldn’t complain about reinhardt shatter, since they already told us they’re looking at it but they have to recode the whole ability since it’s to deep in the game code written.
