Hello guys, I have a question:
I’m currently on mid-plat on my main account, and I recently took the oportunity to buy another one in the Humble Bundle sale. I want to do my first placements on my new account duo-queuing with a friend who is somewhere in low silver.
Question is, if I play all my new account’s placements with her, will I be placed near the rank where we were playing? Or would I place somewhere near my main account’s rank?

We’ve seen a lot of duos complaining that they were placed far apart. If you play your best heros and perform well (this might apply to your first 25 levels in QP too) then it’ll have an effect on your placement.
If you play with a low rank friend then you could perhaps use your new account to learn and experiment with heros you aren’t good with instead of playing your mains.
Most likely … performance in those 10 placement matches will not matter, but performance in matches you played to get to level 25.
i don’t think this is accurate. performance in placement games matters the same as your regular season games. you’re winning or losing SR with each game as far as I understand and have experienced it, you just don’t see how much until you finish the 10 placements.
I heard the wins dont matter in ur placements… only personal performance, specially when u get ur first Sr on that account…
I believe u start with 2500SR first time, and u get or lose SR by ur performance, wich makes ur final sr after the 10 matches
There is alot of people fooling around in QP, (youtube/twitch) never play serious, but still hit GM after placements… i dont think qp has too much to do with comp… But not 100% sure
