Mei freezes people way too quickly and her range is far tooo long plz fix her I can’t get into a single game without a one texting Mei that dose nothing but freeze me from across the map all match

Counter her with a appropriate hero.

you actually need coordination or heavy skill to counter mei, there is no “counter”, its skill matchups with her

Never saw mei dominate, not in OWL, CONTENDERS, WORLD CUP… Saw her in like 1-2 games.

How comes that the pro’s don’t abuse such a broken hero?

yeah and blizzard doesnt care about the biggest part of the playerbase, people who will struggle against mei, they care about the pros instead of fun-level balance, so theyre nerfing doomfist and buffing mei

I don’t play comp, and I am far from a pro player, but even I know it is not a good idea to try balancing game at the lowest level of player skill.

I would dread the idea of Blizzard balancing the game based on my own personal performance. The game would crash and burn.

Mei is op?
I haven’t heard that in a long time.
Since nearly every new hero has just like so much movement (some more, some less) I feel more she needs a buff but not a nerf.
Please not.
Im learning her rn because she can actually be fun, and it is not that easy to freeze people. Especially with your blizzard and you can not wall them in (my own mistake, dw ik).
I think she is really, really fine (:

If they based the game around pros widowmaker and hanzo would’ve been nerfed. At the pro scene heroes that are garbage at low rank are overpowered

I mean pro overwatch and the normal players overwatch are too different to compare, just like D.va is the most pick’d hero for PRO’s (85% pick rate or something like that) in the normal Overwatch game she’s barely picked over Rine/zarya etc.

An overwatch pro with 70% standard ACC can take care of mei or anything in the game.

Thank god and we all know that every game on every rank of the competitive ladder is just like playing in the league where people who have spent hundreds of hours working on team play coordination play 3 tanks and 3 supports. That is exactly what competitive is like

I don’t have any stats representing the ladder.
I can just speak from what I see from the named E-sports and my own games.
I barely see her in my games.

“Way too quickly” in this case means “too quickly so i can’t kill her first” i assume. If you facing her alone in close combat or your teammates don’t care then it’s not Mei’s problem. The higher you go the harder it for Mei to apply freeze on anybody because they get covered with shield, healing and you get assisted so without openings and good teammates Mei can’t do anything except scare off flanks, diving tanks, use her wall to catch enemy and try to do damage with RMB inbetween.

I play around low-mid plat and I have seen 1 Mei this season, and that was on round 4 hanamura to stall us with wall out our rein. Can’t speak for other ranks but imo she needs a buff not a Nerf…

After onetricking Mei on my smurf for the last two days reading this makes me satisfied.

I don’t want to attack the Op but players just playing for the sake of fun should not bring balance into this.
I know it sounds harsh but i mean…
Would be fun uf tracer had 2 recalls and a wall climb bc i don’t like to waste blinks for the long way with the stairs.
And pls let her blink vertical too.
Would be fun…

But a nightmare for anyone playing competetiv / qp in higher ranks.

  1. Goal should always be victory.
    If you want to lose play with your eyes closed against bots.
  2. Goal should be, always try to improve. Or you only lose because everyone else improves.
  3. Goal, enjoy the game (no, playing mccree against widow and crying widow nerf pls, is not what I mean) you can still play mccree, but keep in mind that widow can easily hit your hat.
  4. Play as a team, not against your mates.
