Every match my team feed solo one by one while the other team are coordinated, it’s a joke. Why am I being given the inferior teammates consistently? Whether I go support, tank, dps, to fill in holes in our team, it doesn’t matter. It’s like I’m with bots the way my team move on a conveyor belt to death
I’m done with “it’s just quickplay”, it doesn’t excuse or make sense if the other team are basically in a Competitive mindset while my team are clearly not caring. Only so much fun can be had on such a team-oriented game such as ow when the scales are so clearly tipped in one way
Haven’t played Competitive mode in some time but nothing can be worse than this current Quickplay matchmaking

they really need to introduce skill based matchmaking, and also give us the option to refuse backfilling matches 30 seconds befor they end.

This theory doesn’t hold water as the skins are visible in the shop and the hero gallery.
They ought to have no time to look at your skin while playing
They have filed a patent for this kind of “social” matchmaking, quote “to make new players get inspired by a veteran team mate” or very similar… enjoy unpaid kindergardening.

Thats the worst patent ever if its true. New players get frustrated by getting stomped by experienced players. And experienced players get frustrated by teammates wich feed or unbalanced wins wich feels easier than the training ground robots

That can’t be true, surely even Blizzard aren’t that stupid.
Matchmaking kills me in this game. I just quit matches now. I don’t evne care. If I’m tanking and the support players are off in their own little world they don’t need me in their game, glhf

Would not surprise me to be honest.
I have quit match after match. I dont care at this point. Blizzard can ban me if they like, but tell me what I’m meant to do: I’m Illari, our tank is rushing ahead CONSTANTLY. Will not listen to me spamming GROUP UP! I try to keep up but of course this just pulls me out of position and I get killed. They are getting themselves killed over and over.
This is the problem when you have such dreadful matchmaking. It’s unplayable like this

A feeding tank gas nothing to do with how the matchmaker works (or should work)
it kind of does tho. People with very little skill shouldnt be mixed in with people with high skill
And the matchmaking is indeed abysmal since the beginning of this season. Even on console where you dont expect super high level of plays due to playing with a controller.
EVERY single match there are people wich dont only seem new to game, but new to moving their fingers and common sense. At this point i am convinced they are either bots or trolls. No communication, just walking straight into the enemies and then standing still while shooting at them followed by them getting deleted by the enemy instantly. And then repeating that the whole game without doing anything different.
Or a lifweaver saying hes new while actively gripping his teammates into enemy ultis using being new as an excuse to actively sabotage his team.
Or way more afk people wich i barely saw before this season.
Or widowmakers/hanzo wich after a 15 minute game only did about 100 damage while actively trying to shoot people.
Matchmaking needs to be fixed or else im going to just move to a different game soon. This season is nothing but frustration.
And this can surely not be due to new players coming in from steam. I mean come on why would a person installing it trough steam actively decide to use a controller instead of a mouse and keyboard on pc

Don’t worry Lompcent, as you said, you’re not a pro player anyway.
It’s not the matchmaker’s fault if someone decides to troll.
And that standing still does sound like bot behaviour.
Afk people are reportable for gameplay sabotage.
And for some weird reason some people think that it’s easier to play fps games with a controller, i watch a person on youtube who prefers controllers over mouse and keyboard all the time.
(he played the resident evil remake with a controller recently and i was very frustrated with him missing very easy shots. Using a controller with a game that requires precise aim is just self sabotage.)
Yeah but honestly reports do very little since most of the time not enough people report the person.
And also some arent even trolling but just absolutely terrible.And if the trolls are on a new account since they claimed to have only played 4 matches then they clearly shouldnt be matched up with people who play alot. So i do blame the matchmaker. Because matchmaking has been absolutely terrible so far this season. Way more backfill than usual and huge skill differences
