[FixedItself] Audio Technica USB 2020+ no longer selectable as output device

Hi all,

I posted earlier this week about this, but the topic has received no further replies and I got the distinct feeling that the CS personnel was not able to really even understand the problem. As I really need a response now, I have created this video to more concisely explain my issue:

Please help! If you require any more information, I will be happy to provide it.

The steps I have already taken to try to remedy this:

  • Reinstalled Overwatch
  • Reinstalled OBS
  • Reinstalled the Microphone entirely

I am at my wits end. The patch somehow messed up detection for my mic, and now I can’t stream my game sounds.

EDIT:

Annnnnnnd of course it fixes itself.

Magical! Happy to hear it sorted itself out, but I do want to point out that this is something you would need to report to the OBS support if it happens again.

Have a few seconds to spare? Let me know how I’m doing!

@Nenyasi, I would just like to point out that an audio device not being selectable from within the game menu is not related to OBS in any way, nor is resolving this an actionable item for a third party software.

If OBS were a software which makes changes to sound device enumeration within windows, then I would agree there may be merit to what you say.
