Worth reading through this documentation regarding why the OW2 report system is highly flawed…

:pouting_cat:

Lol just don’t be weird in game and you never get reported. It isn’t that hard.

The system doesn’t need to be fixed. The players need to learn from their mistakes

brother i got perma banned from cheating while i never even cheated. on dis game since 2017. mass reports = insta perma ban without validation

Mass reporting wouldn’t of got you banned. Cheating would have required them to detect something.

You could have appealed repeatedly and got it over turned if you were sure there was nothing .

you can get reported for literally no reason and once enough people do it you’ll get banned regardless.

Indeed. You can report any one for any reason you see fit.

Not sure that’s relevant though.

it is relevant because you said you can avoid being reported as long as you’re “not being weird”, even though people don’t need a reason, get enough meritless reports and you’ll get suspended.

there’s a reason why they have whitelisted certain streamers who were subject to mass reporting campaigns so that they stopped getting an automatic suspension every few hours, it’s because the system is susceptible to abuse, the difference is that the general player base don’t have that luxury and have to deal with the report system that can be abused.

Something needs to change…

Evidence would suggest other wise. Just be normal in game and you never get even a warning.

I’ve no doubt I’ve been reported plenty of time before. Just not enough because I’m not being weird in game.

 That’s not a thing.

As always, you’ve only got something to worry about, if you’re problematic. It’s an issue you can deal with yourself.

what evidence? the report and suspension system is all automated, get enough reports and you get suspended automatically, those are the facts.

i mean people literally have proven this by false reporting dummy accounts that have never played a single game for cheating with zero recourse.

i can’t post links but google “fuey500 vice” or “stevo kotaku” and you’ll see how these one-trick streamers have articles written about their grievances with the report system which gained traction.

“Aimbok has also stated in the document that there is an alleged whitelisting system, with specific individuals being added manually to avoid bans. They do provide a screenshot under the “How the Report/Ban System Works” section to further amplify their point regarding this situation, with context explaining that a former Community Manager had manually whitelisted accounts in the past.”

i’m sure it’s all purely coincidental that one-trick streamers like Fuey500 and Stevo went from being suspended multiple times a week to never getting suspended ever again after these articles and their tweets calling out Blizzard gained traction, why do you think they stopped being suspended? a mystery surely as you continue to defend Blizzard.

Must be a coincidence…

No one said it wasn’t. But they’ve been quite clear. It’s matches reported in, not reports received.

This paid forum troll might be the funniest one I have seen to date defending the worst report system ever made in gaming industry hahahaha.

You can literally report people for nothing and get congrats messages a day after from blizz.

There’s no one here defending it.

There are people correcting silly nonsense like this though.

I got 1 month suspension for playing ball and making people fall off map. Then I said in a game bad tracer and Genji useless and got Perma banned! It was my account from 2017 knowing how much value it has , I would never swear or say big words. This is our punishment for not disableing both voice and text chat. But God was there and he blessed me with Marvel Rivals. Will never come back to ow2 after I’m having so much fun and good times with Marvel Rivals!!!
