Hello. Since the Summer Games I have been getting a lower performance than usual in Overwatch. Without changing the Video Settings I went from 210ish stable fps to highs and lows from 90 fps to 170, with an average on 130/140. The game usually starts on high values (250+) and then starts to plummet in the course of one minute in game.
I checked with MSI Afterburner and RTSS and it seems that Overwatch never uses more than 45% of both the GPU and CPU after the first minutes I open it.
Also while before I always had 3 dots on the fps counter, now I get only 1 dot and that means, if I am not mistaken, that it’s simulation bound so it shouldn’t be a cpu/gpu hardware problem. I never overclocked. Other games seem fine.
Temperature are fine (under 70 °C).
These are my specs
i5-9400F @ 2.9
MSI GeForce RTX 2060 GAMING Z 6G
Z390 Gigabyte UD
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB @ 3200
Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2
I did a clean install of Windows 10, updated my drivers, reset game settings, maxed out the performance and power options in both Nvidia Control Panel and Windows Power Settings, tried different combinations on Video options on Overwatch, even with low settings I can’t go up much. Interestingly enough, I disabled the Nvidia Audio Driver and Overwatch seemed like to have returned to normal levels but it didn’t last long.
This is the DxDiag

(sorry I didn’t use the quotes for the DxDiag but somehow they don’t work with it and the text seemed excessive, also I can’t post link for some reasons so that’s the workaround I tried)
