FPS drops to 40-50 after hero select

I have had some problems with overwatch since I started playing about a month ago, first the issue was simply that I had lower fps then expected, I had overwatch on really low setting and I have a pretty powerfull computer and a 144hz screen, but the fps still used to dip down to 90 at times.

Now however (after I reset my pc to try and fix the problem) whenever I leave hero select my fps goes down to 40-50 fps and stays there for the rest of the game.

I have the ‘‘correct’’ settings for my screen to be able to handle higher fps and also the correct settings in overwatch.

yet overwatch is still the only game this happens in.

on rare occasions I stay at about 130-150 fps for about 30 seconds after hero select and then it ‘‘locks’’ at 50 again.

I’ve tried everything I’ve found online, from reinstalling windows to uninstalling and reinstalling graphics drivers, different settings in overwatch, changing my pc’s power options and probably more things that I can’t think of right now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :slight_smile:

If you have Razer synapse installed try uninstalling it from your system completely, restart your computer and launch the game.

I have the same incident you’ve been through. Need to be corrected with the future update
