It is disgusting actually. You milk your customers from all over the world yet pouring everything for FRRE for chineese players.

It does not matter if they didnt had ow2 available for some time.

what a shady company you are. As usual west playerbase going to receive - NOTHING. More overpriced shop skins.

shame on you. :point_left:

I DEMAND SAME REWARDS FOR FREE AS WELL.

Games only just coming back on sale in china after a few years. They need to tempt people back.

Also, it’s distributed by NetEase over there. US Blizzard isn’t responsible for what they get as bonuses. It is Essentially a separate game over there.

Demand all you like. You won’t get.

It’s completely unfair…

This reeks of desperation to get the Chinese back to bolster players numbers…

yeah give mistika his free skins after he whining all the time for months (maybe years) that this game is cheaterwatch and he’s tired of playing it with cheaters ruining his matches and blizzard is a very bad company against him, and…

wait…

It also reinforces that if gamers collectively review-bomb a game enough they can get the devs to bend over backwards to compensate them…

He is a strange one.

Do better cloud gamer. If you actually read into things that weren’t bogus theories, you’d already know it’s not “desperation”. Businesses in China operate totally separately as US companies can’t directly operate there.

LoL, let the Ant-folk have some freebies, their online time is monitored and they are punished if they exceed that.

Im unsympathetic to China, but this is always their government and economic practices. China has a rich history and culture, a people who endured things you wouldnt have. Let them have a cookie or 2.

Funnily some Chinese dude was asked about that on that new thing that people are moving to from tiktok or something.

Essentially it’s nonsense.

Children have their time limited by the government to try stopping them from becoming addicted. But most by pass it by getting the accounts in their parents name with their IDs. So the only punishment for playing too long is a telling off from their parents.

so you are that guy.

That guy that likes to learn about cultures, yes. Always interesting when Western ignorance and theories are exposed.

This is very unfair. We had to pay for those things and now they are getting everything for free?

They could do something like:

  • Free battlepass items: they will get it for free
  • Premium battle pass items: a paid bundle for each season in the store.

It surprises me they didn’t that, they are really desperate for new players, even more than for money this time.

Well maybe we will be able to exploit that with VPNs or something. That may be good.

Oh no… how dare they give them access to things they couldn’t obtain when they had no access to the game.

What terrible behaviour…

(Sarcasm aside. Blizzard didn’t decide to do this. It was a NetEase decision they agreed with. Blizzard USA(who we deal with) have very little say over the shop and stuff like that in china (because laws))

And VPN won’t help you. You’d need a Chinese government ID, and to be an adult, before you can access the game in china.

I never said they should not access it. I only find unfair they are accessing premium items for free while we had to pay for it. They could at least create paid bundles for the premium battlepass items.

They aren’t getting them for free. They are being given special access to get the stuff they wanted from past battle passes. They’ll still have to buy things.

Guess that explains a lot.

If they have to pay to the premium items that makes more sense, and so no problem for me. I was only commenting what Mistikas said. I didn’t bother to read the announce.

I’m not sure they did either.

They’ve had at least 3 threads closed on both forums about this already as all they did was tell people they are being blocked when he was corrected. Probably best to not take him at his word.

Wdym “had to”? I haven’t come close to spending a penny on this game
Who cares if ppl are getting free stuff? Their gain is not your loss. Just be happy that ppl are gaining something, or don’t be. But you don’t need to be unhappy about it
If the free stuff they’re getting was giving them an advantage, I’’d understand, but it’s not in any way
Again, this does not negatively affect you in any way

Not only they are getting all the skins for free but they also have rights to official stats about hero pick rate and win rate: https://ow.blizzard.cn/herolist

What did the Chinese to Blizzard so they receive that kind of treatment and not us?
Guess all this talk about being an inclusive company is nothing more than marketing bulls***

You are aware the game over that is ran completely separately from Blizzard USA right… It’s why they had issues with who was distributing it in the first place.

It is, for all intents and purposes a different game.

They don’t get reported in the revenue or player number figures. It’s totally separate.

I don’t care. I only know there is an website inside official Blizzard domain providing official stats about the game for Asia servers, while other regions have nothing, nada.

This is from a company that claims that inclusivity is their priority.
I don’t care for all those bureaucracies, they should organize themselves. There is no reason why some are getting features and others not.
