First of all, no. I did not spell the title wrong. A “haven” is a place in which you can be considered “safe”. Like a safehouse or your own room/home etc.
2nd. When FFA Chateau gets removed from arcade I usually join custom games instead because I love the map. But holy s**t. Custom games are filled with cheaters like there’s no tomorrow.
Not to mention the obnoxious game owners who kick you for no freaking reason what-so-ever all the time but that’s besides the point.
Its like the Anti-cheat is disabled in the game browser or something… Or rather. That’s the logical conclusion considering the amount of cheaters i’ve seen. Wallhackers, the occasional aimbot and even a triggerbot my last game before I was kicked. Guess who had the trigger… The owner did.
Just needed to vent a bit. And get the question answered. The question in question being: Is the anti-cheat enabled for game browser(And can it be turned off? Because in all honesty it shouldn’t be…)
All cheat applications run on the client computer itself, sending regular signals up to the server.
Cheat applications exploit information available on the client computer’s game client / network traffic / in-memory information to build cheat applications.
Perhaps why custom game harbors cheaters, is because people don’t report them over there, while they would get reported in other game modes.
I say continue to report them if you come across them. Not many people bother going into many of these custom games, to start reporting such hacks.

I actually watched one of the mediocre youtubers talk about this earlier today (not gonna mention his name, I’m not gonna advertise) talk about rise of amount of cheaters. Apparently it’s not just Custom games, but it’s Competitive too and on the higher end of ranked.
However, I’m playing Blizzard games for basically my whole life and I have never had too much troubles with cheaters in their games, so I’m sure they’re doing their best to track those and ban them.
Also, don’t forget that those developers who create the cheats, are literally breaking the law, and there have been cases where Blizzard sues companies like this for that exact reason.
Its a fair point to mention that I don’t meet a lot if any cheaters at all in competitive. Though that’s because my rank isn’t high enough. Custom games don’t have divided ranks. “You can join, and you can join. EVERYONE can join”. So you’re bound to find everyone from bronze to GM or even a T500 if you’re lucky(or unlucky).
Which is probably why I’ve encountered more cheaters there(in custom games) than I have in any other mode. Because browser games don’t have any MMR.
