Game freezing/crashing since the Ashe patch

Ever since the Ashe Patch on PTR and Live servers I have been experiencing Crashes/Freezing when using Alt+Tab. I have Turned off Game DVR, Closed all background apps, repaired my game and Reinstalled twice since the Live patch but I’m still experiencing issues. Help!

dude, im telling you, theres something about this patch. it destroys my fps. i asked for help yesterday but nobody helped me.

The MSInfo seems to be incomplete. Could you please upload it again, making sure you upload all of the file? If it’s too big for Pastebin, you can remove the Windows errors part (there are instructions for this in the article about creating system files), but we need to check the rest of the file.

If you have any kind of overclocking in your computer, I’d recommend resetting the hardware to its default speed.

I can still see the Game Bar showing up in your MSInfo, make sure it’s turned off:
battle.net/support/article/92046

Disable Fullscreen optimization:

  • Go to the folder where you have Overwatch installed
  • Right click on Overwatch.exe, select Properties
  • Go to the Compatibility tab
  • Check Disable fullscreen optimizations

Also, I would try uninstalling the following software to see if the issue persists:

  • Wacom Tablet Software
  • Razer Cortex
  • BullGuard

Thank you, I have Disabled Full screen Optimization and Uninstalled all following software but I am still experiencing problems. It is now allowing me to Alt+Tab again but sometimes when I tab back into the game, it is frozen.

Yes I have. Do you think discord overlay could have anything to do with this?

Yes. Try disabling the overlay from Discord. In the past it has been known to cause crashes sometimes with games.

Still freezing but it’s less frequent now, only happened once in the past hour.

What about launching in windowed borderless? Does that help at all when you alt+tab?

I am also experiencing the exact same thing. whenever I al tab or press windows button to change my song, my gam sometime crashes. this only happned after the new update.
