Game Freezing on W10

My game typically freezes anywhere from a match, to four or five matches in, but it’s always when I’m in game. This is an Overwatch only problem. None of these issues arise in any other game for me.

I have turned off Windows 10 Gamebar, and DVR , and whatnot, all underneath W10’s “Gaming” settings. I have recently updated my drivers in an effort to fix the problem.

The only thing that I’ve found that gives me another match or two of play time is enabling my Keyboard’s Windows hotkey lock.

When the game freezes, it freezes just about everything for good, and Overwatch is unable to be closed via taskmanager, or any other means. The screen usually goes slightly darker, and there is no error message. I have to force power off my computer to exit.

Any help?

Edit: So, it looks like it’s a “Rendering Device lost” issue, and I don’t quite know how to resolve it.

Greetings Photivity,

this error occurs when there’s a problem with your graphics drivers (often caused by overclocked hardware). If you have an NVIDIA GPU, can you please try right-clicking the Desktop and opening the NVIDIA Control Panel. Then, click “Help” and enable “Debug Mode”. That sets your GPU’s clock speed back to default settings.

If the problem still persists after that, please try the steps from this article:

Let me know how it goes.
