Gaming laptop performance question

so I am planning on buying a msi gp75 laptop on Monday . I will post the link to the laptop .

Ignore the // in the beginning.

  1. Do you guys think it can run overwatch on 144 hz in full HD mode ?
2.Any possible issues that can arise ?

I actually have an MSI gaming laptop, though mine’s a little older than this one, it’s the GP62 7RD Leopard
The laptop you’re looking at is a lot better than the one i’m currently using and I’m pretty damn sure if i lowered my settings to the lowest I could get them I’d probably be able to hit close to 144fps if not exceed it. Overwatch is incredibly well optimized, after all.

You’ll be fine, though from somebody who has a gaming laptop? I’d recommend you get a regular PC tower instead. I literally use my laptop in place of a tower, with an external monitor, keyboard etc and I just wish i’d gotten a PC when I had the money for it. For example the steelseries keyboard on my laptop became a bit dodgy around 8 months in and I also wound up needing to get a fan for underneath it for the summer as it’d peak at 85-90 degrees celsius. The lack of upgradability is also a bit of a pain.

TLDR; That thing will do what you want it to, though would recommend getting a normal PC instead of a laptop if possible.

Don’t msi!!
I have one, have had it for almost 3 years.
It gets overheated, half of the keys on the keyboard is not working (apparently an issue with msi laptops)

Sure i can play overwatch on it, but with graphics on lowest, not cause the graphics card can’t handle it but because the temperature oof the laptop goes up to 90 degrees celsius.

So reconsider the brand. I’m speaking of experience.

It doesn’t seem to have a 144hz screen so you can forget 144hz.

In general (and if you have the choice) I’ll always advice to buy a desktop computer, laptops (even the ones made for gaming) have a tendency to overheat and have issues very fast (usually after just one year of usage).

Other than that it can probably run OW in Ultra/High with over 60 fps.

nope mine came with a 144 hz ips screen and its running overwatch at 144 fps just fine with all settings maxed .just checked it now as it arrived an hour ago
