no whinning, just a report of something stupidly impossible that happend to me.
on TDM in sniper map (egypt) playing hanzo since everyone went sniper or genji. enemy team also genji, widow zenyatta and winston i think.
i had my ult ready and was on the stairs on the cliffside of the map. on the other side was widow. i spotted her and prepared my ult. genji arrived and was NEXT to me. i heard reflect but not aiming at him. i shoot and… wtf ult disapeares. killed by genji and see replay.
in the replay i see myself (obviously, full in frame on the stairs. looking at my side, not my front. his reflect is on and you see my aim for the ult to the right, still full in frame, so not standing right next to me, and he FUKCING REFLECTED my ult!!! WHAT!!! biggest bullsh*t game mechanic i have seen yet in this game.
sadly i don’t have a replay but damn this was stupid.
From what I’m hearing you were playing as Hanzo, used your ult and you think it got to reflected? Well that’s exactly what can happen, if Genji is literally right on front of Hanzo when he uses the Spirit Dragons, it CAN be deflected back. Normally this doesn’t happen often as most Hanzo players generally have some space or structure between them and the target when they use the ult, but definitely something to be careful of.
i know this but he was standing next to me, not in front of me and even lower on the stairs to add.
There was a 90 degree angel between where i aimed at and where he stood with reflect.
Genji has a notorious hitbox regarding the Deflect, even though it did get adjusted in a recent patch it still seems to be ridiculous at times. I’ve turned away from Genji and thrown a bionade at my feet, yet some how he still deflected it…
This is just a bug from desinking thanks to the dalay overwatch has.
Hanzo is notorius for killing players behinde conners on their screen why lsnt no one refrencing that.
A year agol i sined for the best internet europ has to offer i play the geme with 20 ping at worst and pay 50 euro for my internet… and i am still getting killed behinde conners when im vs widow or hanzos its gettin agrovating at this point.
You’re ultimate fires an arrow that after a short period releases the dragon. If the arrow is reflected before the dragons are released it’s fair game for Genji
Extra edit: since Hanzo’s arrows are projectiles the hitboxes are larger than they appear to be in game which makes it possible for this to have happend
Hanzo complaining about broken hit boxes now I have seen everything.
Hanzo hitboxes were significantly reduced 2 years ago
don’t place me with the damn hanzo mainboys. i hate him as much as half the community. but you need to know the enemy to counter them properly.
