Get rid of Smurfs

Please Blizzard do something about these smurf accounts. They ruin the games for everyone except for them self. I lost 6 games in a row because I got matched against the same 26lvl smurf. He was clearly playing better than a normal plat player. I asked why did he smurf and he said "I just like to wreck people so they can’t climb higher. I lost over 300 sr just because some random player across the Europe wanted to ruin other peoples games. Please fix this issue. Thank you.

Blizzard encourages smurfs, it’s not a problem they say so stop complaining in the forum because all you are telling them to do is this “hey blizzard, stop selling accounts” - “but…we make money???” PogChamp

(not that that’s worked out well for Gargamel…
btw am i the only one that thinks that the smurfs seams oddly antisemitic… Gargamel is a Jewish sterio type and his cat is named Azrael… sounds oddly close to Israel… and the idea of a Jewish stereotype obsessed with gold well hmm…)

then again I’ve also head the smurfs being accused of being communists. (not the the USSR treated the jews very well either so both may be true)

Not in any of their other games was smurfing (people creating more than 1 account) a problem.
The complete reset of the competitive ranking periodically, at least twice a year would elinimate smurfing but why would they throw away the extra revenue.
Activision is a moneyhungry beast run by a gang of dirtbags. They probably have so much money they could build a lunar colony on the moon so how much money is enough blizzard?

you do realize that smurffing arose out of the early Warcraft2 multiplayer scense like prior to battle.net version…

Blizzard fans invented smurfing and coined the phrase lol :stuck_out_tongue:

how about we all make a list where we see the smurfs and update it, then we quit playing with them, we suffer a penalty after a while but if no one plays with them they cannot go up and Blizzard will have to look at it, the small few a holes ruin it for everyone else and unless we unite they will continue to ruin it.

I’m not sure I get why you’re so mad about better players?

Sure, getting dunked on by someone better than you is annoying. But if you don’t learn from that and pick up even the tiniest thing from that game, thats on you. Not them.

If a diamond player ended up in a silver game, everyone would call it a bug, an exploit, a boosting trick.

But because they paid $5 for the game when it was on sale and they’re level 25 now, it’s okay?

If you’re arguing smurfing is fair, you probably have a/many smurfs.

I have 1 account.

I used to think smurfs were an issue. Then I actually stopped and thought about it.

If a better player keeps dunking on me… I am obviously making a mistake. Can I watch it back and learn something and improve. The answer is yes.

The question is… How upset are you going to get when PvP goes free to play (as they hinted at yesterday). Or will you be another person that doesn’t want new players in case they are better?

This makes no sense, you’re right, you can learn a lot from getting hit on the head walking out of spawn because the enemies level 30 widow with a level 2200 mercy pocket shot you.
Damn I’ve had the wrong attitude completely, After thinking about it, I shouldn’t leave spawn, then she can’t shoot me, and I become a better player because I’m not dying.

If you keep getting shot. Why haven’t you found a different route, pathing is key.

Why are you not asking where the widow is.

Why you not asking for protection to get back.

These are quick lessons you can learn.
