Getting constantly terrible teammates or placed against players that abusive the system

this game, although its been out for a certain amount of years is just trash.
i mean the players mainly are to blame for parts of it.
i myself keep getting trashy team mates that are not trying to play or can’t play at all. Even if they can play well, they would steal kills/ not allow certain players to get kills or i get put up against hackers, trolls, smurfs, cheats, spammers, ect.

IF ANYTHING THERE SHOULD BE SEPARATE SERVERS FOR COMP PLAYERS, QP PLAYERS, PEOPLE LEARNING HOW TO PLAY AND FOR PLAYERS WHO JUST WANT TO PLAY FOR FUN.

The fact you are playing for kills suggests you are dps. The game is not about that. Its about the objective and working with your team to secure it. When a teammate kills someone i have been damaging it makes me happy because the threat is dead. For you it annoys you. Wrong mindset. Smurfs we cant deal with anymore, sales ruined it and the multiple accounts are out there. Trolls can be reduced in multiple ways. 1. Play with friends. 2. Use find teammates button. 3. Dont be toxic. 3 is not as great a fix since trolls normally are trolls. But it will improve everyones game including your own. Nothing makes people play worse than low morale and toxicity. Cheaters are not common. Overwatch are releasing some new anticheat stuff soon so hopefully that mops up most of them. Bad teammates are always going to be a thing we cant help it. Some of us are not as good at the game as others but try not to be too judgemental about it. Screaming verbal abuse etc will not make someone suddenly better and will guarenteed make them and you play worse, and likely your teammates too. Because no longer are you thinking anout the game If you are not having fun then dont play or buddy up with people who you do have fun with. There are seperate servers for comp and qp. Everyone should be playing for fun

cheaters are not common… thats wrong. why do they have to release new anticheat then? i met a lot of new accounts cheater in qp/ arcade and toxicity comes from trolling and you giving you all and yet get team mates that you cant understand how on earth they are in 3k or 3.5k when they clearly have no understanding of teamwork. this mmr have been fd over because blizzard allowes smurf accounts. just imagine this game with 1 account only… i would had playd comp every day. i miss the old rank system i found it more accurat then this curent system. and im sick and tierd of hearing the fames qt “its only qp” no matter what mode you play qp, arcade, comp you are playing Overwatch!

I agree with you on cheaters, had a match the other night, that had a blatant Soldier 76 on the other team using an aimbot, twitching around, bouncing from head to head and jiggling like a madman…

i tried to bring it to everyones attention… then i get foisted upon by 10 other people (the cheater wasn’t speaking)… they were calling me all the names under the sun, racist slurs, egging eachother on to report me for being AFK… this community disgusts me sometimes…

and you’re right, smurf accounts ruin the MMR system… im playing in gold… and a barely lvl 25 account on the enemy team… well… i know whats going to happen there, either widow/hanzo/genji or tracer, and we lose because we don’t have the skills to stop them…

half of the issue is that, the other half is balance of heros, and the third half is the MMR/SR system… why do you need a “hidden” MMR… and an SR… all that calculate based on your performance against “others at your rank”?.. why not just have one single flat MMR, that either goes up by a set amount for a win, or down by a set amount for a loss… that would encourage people to get better because more wins = raising rank… its not rocket science blizzard…

you tried to reinvent the wheel with this Frankenstein MMR/SR system, and you made a wheel that is in fact square…

a) The only common factor in all your games is you.
b) You got endorsement level 1, so obviously you’re more likely to have other players with endorsement level 1 on your team. Good thing we have alle the unwanted players put together…

  1. You are being placed with these people, meaning your MMR is the same. You control this by your plays. If you lose and play very well you can lose 10SR, if you win and play exceptionally you can win more than 70. Not happening? Losing more than you win? you’re under performing.
  2. What rank are you? most hackers are in the top ranks that have boosted there relatively quickly.
  3. Separate servers isn’t going to resolve the issue because the same trolls and toxic people will join them to continue their behaviour.
  4. This game isn’t just about kills, it takes into account everything including time on fire, death tally, damage blocked, accuracy, mechs called, healing, obj time and other utilities and compares it to other people of your rank and a bit higher.

you say you get players of the same endorsement level as teammates, but that is so inaccurate. I get players with higher endorsements then me as teammates and as enemy teams, i even get players higher level then me on my team and on the enemy team.

With my little comp experience, just 4 matches, the qualifications ones, as dps I can assure you that I played sombra , I called hacks and emps , gave info on my team each second… none care… the only think I got was ‘‘switch off sombra’’… so I don’t see how a thing like this can be my fault.

but was enough to tell me ‘‘don’t play comp anymore’’

What we have here is a failure to adapt one’s own behaviour and consistently think the game should change to your favor and/or advantage. This is not how it works. You’re supposed to take advantage of the game within the rules given.
