Getting disconnected and not being able to return back

Hello, I have been playing competitive just now and after my internet stopped entirely for some reason, the connection was interrupted and I was disconnected from the game. But after a few seconds the connection with my internet was successful again, I went back to the lobby and tried to come back in the game but I got suspended. Why is this programmed that way? It’s been less than a minute and I got disconnected when the game was already started and round 2 was bout to begin. Why have you designed it that way so I cannot come back and have to wait 1 hour before queuing again even though the game was 100% winnable

All leavers are treated the same.

For other 9 people, they don’t care why you left… Just that you ruined their game.

This is why the suspension starts very short.

I think the problem was that they tried to rejoin the game but couldn’t

Indeed.

But that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get a suspension. Imagine the other 9 players, game being cancelled or soiled by a player leaving. They don’t know or care why, just that there time was wasted.

I’ve had it happen to me too, it is annoying. But it happens. I don’t think it is a bug.

I re read the message. Because the suspension hit before the match was over, they couldn’t rejoin. Thus making the situation worse for those team mates of theirs.

I agree on the suspensions being ok for leaving, but you should still be able to rejoin the ongoing match.

Probably true.

But if you are getting a 15 minute suspension and the associated “leaving game” -50… it really doesn’t make a huge amount of difference.

Everyone left in the game will still be judged primarily on their performance.

True enough, but i would still prefer to be able to go back and help the team as much as possible despite getting the punishments after. It’ll feel better for the other players too and give them a morale boost in the match.

Maybe, but it is what it is, you can start your 15 by making a cup of tea, or playing something else and crack on after.

Leavers happen, and happen for so many annoying reasons. No matter if you’re the leaver or one of those left in the game… I personally wouldn’t worry about it. Not the end of the world.

Leaving for less than a minute, 20/30 seconds is hardly ruining their game.

That’s a fight, maybe 2, thrown away… Games are won and lost on such margins.

If that’s Push, you’re likely done.

Towards the end of the game yes, but not the start :man_shrugging:

You are not reading what I am saying.

I don’t care that much about the suspension. I care about the fact that I am not able to rejoin the game and win it. It was KOTH map and round 1 should have just finished. I don’t know why blizzard programmed it that way but it’s beyond normal human being understanding.

You keep believing that. Then try and win on an ult disadvantage.
