Getting short lag spikes

Getting these short lasting lag spikes(5 secs or so) every 3-5 min which have also disconnected me some times. I have updated drivers and done virus check. Neither helped anything.

Anyhow i did a WinMTR test and i hope you can help me out  Going to try paste it in next reply…

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider

Hello Balloonatic,

Could you maybe run another WinMTR to see if there’s any pattern? Would be super helpful if you could also run a traceroute and pathping, since sometimes they show extra information.

  • Traceroute (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
  • Pathping (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)

Guess i forgot to mention that im running thru wifi and i have tried to reset router to factory default.

Had to put a few spaces in the links so it would let me post. Dont hope it messed it up

The latency is too high in this first jump, which could indicate an issue with the connection going out of your computer (such as a security program blocking the connection somehow, etc), or an issue with your router. 7ms might not seem much, but keep in mind this is the first step your connection takes towards our servers. The usual values here are 1ms or even <1ms.

Also, in this jump the latency really spikes up and it seems to be unstable (the values vary from 21ms to 390ms).

There are some things you can try to improve latency on that first jump, but seeing that the traceroute is showing problems further down the connection, I’d advise contacting your internet provider as well so they can make sure everything is working as it should.

Make sure both your operative system and drivers are up to date:

Disable or temporarily uninstall your security software:
