It’d be nice if they could add something to let you pick whether you attack or defend on non-comp matches, maybe you don’t always get it if there’s not enough people but i’ve literally only been on defence all night and i’m really bored of it now, it’d be nice to have a bit of say in it

Defending is part of the game, so by only playing attack you only play half of the game…
Yes defending can be boring, but it can also be fun… aaaand someone has to do it, so if 2/3 only wants to attack, imagine the que times…
Dont leave after the game, and you will end up attacking (most of the times)…

Whenever i play QP 90% of the time im on defense even if i stay after the match everyone else leaves the lobby resets and i get defense again… no matter what…
So i just play comp so at least i do get to do both attack and defense

Thats not my experience…
All of you can swap with me, because all I’ve been playing recently is Attack.
sticking around after the match only works if everyone else does too, otherwise you’re sent back to the queue and it’s the same as leaving

You leave the game. There is nothing wrong with leaving if you don’t like the map or the attack/defense scenario. For example if I feel dirty enough to ever try QP I will never ever play on Hanamura attack or defense. A waste of time.

yes, that is an option, if you want to queue and leave, requeue and leave upwards of 15 times before you get “attack”… and I don’t really feel like
- wasting my time and
- being punished by -75%xp because blizzards queue system sucks the ultimate form of testicles… “not that i’m bothered by XP” but its the principle of the fact, also the big red and white “YOU ARE BEING PUNISHED FOR NO REASON” banner you get on your screen
Ah, but you forget how easy it is to be selfish, childish and entitled - or consisely put: a leaver.
Leavers are great. While playing arcade I noticed that when my team starts losing some of them leave. And in many cases the people who join are stronger and turn things around. In competitive similarly most leavers bail when the game is already over so all I need to do is alt+tab for 2 minutes and get out of the failed game.
Most of the time leavers are doing you a favor.
Probably not gonna happen but I’d really like that since i love attacking and hate defending.
Might be bias but i also feel like I’ve been getting thrown into defend games way too much.
I did that and it took an endorsement level off me lol, then put me back in defense
Endorsement levels mean nothing. Random loot boxes every 2 weeks or so. Big deal.

In my opinion Overwatch still needs an offline version that you can play custom games with no latency or play the practise range with no required connection
