In comp, I’m in plat. In QP I get 4000+ SR players on their main heroes in nearly every game. Why? At first I thought maybe they’re just warming up or something, but I keep running into the same people over the course of several hours. And I get that QP is more casual and less strict with matchmaking, but if you get thrown into games with people 1200-1700 SR higher than you, it’s not really that fun. You either have to tryhard to stand any chance or you feel like you’re there as target practice.
Bohoo poor you. I’d really like to see the screenshots of this happening every game and not just when you’re getting shredded
That’s why it’s called Quick-Play: You don’t have to wait that long to find a game, but it might get funky.
I’m not quite sure you understand. I’m saying that there are people with ridiculously higher SR in my games, which means that, yes, I’m getting my ass kicked in them. And that’s where the problem is, instead of getting to play against players of roughly equal skill, I’m basically cannon fodder for the top players, which isn’t fun for me.
And in my recent players, out of 50, 11 were 4000 SR or higher and 2 of them were top 500. Plus a bunch of people hovering around 3900, which is still over 1000 SR more than me.
Oily, I do agree this happens in QP. There isn’t a definitive way of restricting higher ello players from the lower ones, because a bronze player can queue with a top 500 in the same group and go into QP.
Were as that behavior is not allowed for Comp.
QP doesn’t have a matchmaking.
Okay, that’s just bad luck though. It’s quick play after all
Personaly i like to compete to higher players so you can practice and learn from it.
