I managed to climb from my silver rank because i improved and silver was basically the rank i deserved some time ago. I managed to climb to 2200 sr with some really good 3 stack one night. This night i decided to solo queue. Results?
Game 1: torb, mei, junkrat, symmetra on attack - 1 person in voice chat, no one switched
Game 2: widow who decided to throw because “she recently buy a golden a gun and has to show it in bronze rank” She was literally throwing, holding her ult whole game and didnt kill a single player - still close game though
Game 3: 3stack of childs (around 10 y old i guess) screaming whole the time at voice chat - fast lose
Game 4: 2stack of players staying at the spawn whole game and jumping out of map ocassionally
Throwers are everywhere, but at least in silver people usually want to win and use voice chat more frequently. I thought gold is better in terms of teamworking and communicating but i guess not. 4 games, 4 lost to disgusting throwers. All my effort is destroyed by bunch of tards. Seriously considering quitting this game right now.

playing with random people. Do you expect perfect teams?
It’s not about being good, it’s about praying that the enemy sucks worse than you do

2400 is the average SR for the OW player base.
-there are 40 million people (or, accounts rather) registered on blizzard servers
-an estimated 65% of them (26,000,000) are on PC
-on PC the the people in gold rank represent about 32% (the highest % btw since plat is like 25%) of the ranked population
-there are 8,320,000 people in gold compared to the about 5mil people in silver
-now take into account that if anyone makes a smurf account it is MUCH easier to place and keep said account in the middle range than it is on either of the ends regardless of how good or bad you play (Kabaji -a consistant Top500 player and streamer- placed a new account in 2500 on stream while constantly trying his hardest to win)
-The system will place you in low gold to mid plat depending on placements and, due to the overwhelming amount of people in comp, most people that try to solo que end up staying where or near where they were placed.
-Playing soloque is like rolling a D20 in DnD with Jeff as a DM
-Jeff pls

IMO 2900 to 3100SR is the most toxic and hardest to break through patch in OW comp
