two games in a row this one guy makes everyone mass false report him for something he didnt do. tried make a ticket to show this to blizzard but ofc its not possible to report people outside game. these people should be punished for this kind of behaving.

blizzard report system auto ban and they do not investegate at all so you will just be banned because ppl do not like your hero pick. they just read what is said in reports and as long as it is not ´´ ban this sym player´´ you will be banned

The report system definitely needs some tuning. Even things taken out of context can be levied against you making some reports completely unfair. Even if it is a joke with slightly saucy language to it, someone will feel “offended” (facepalm) and report you on the spot. It’s just mass censoring at this point. I talk less and less because I’m genuinely afraid that I’ll get reported even if I sigh in frustration over a person throwing.

EDIT: I haven’t seen the video so if you’re talking about people mass false reporting OTHERS for stuff they didn’t do then yes, I’m totally down with that. The way the post was worded was a bit confusing but looking at the title of the video made me double check as to what you were going for.
As for a way to solve this? You would need a manual review system that could have the power to condemn players to their fate after levels of peer review.
Like the aptly named CSGO “OverWatch” reporting system.
Basically this=
-Person gets reported
-Many players of above an average SR (most likely Diamondish) get offered to review the game from the reported player’s perspective
-Reviewers watch whole game and at the end select (from a number of different options) different bannable offenses that they believe that the reported player undoubtedly deserves to be punished for
-consensus is taken and if 75% of reviewers agree on one or more options than a ban is issued
-EXP and Lootboxes are offered to reviewers as rewards for completing cases and selecting options that other reviewers also coincided with
-EZ CLAP
in this trash autoban system people can report you for literally no reason at all. You’ll get banned once you collected enough reports, regardless if legit or not. Good luck appealing these bans, with GM staff being run by few bots and dummies.
If I had to make a guess as to how many appeals are granted, I would say around 0.5-1%. Just an impression from having spent hours reading about the system, ppl being falsely reported and suspended/banned as a result with no say in the matter. It’s truly sickening.
People are reporting everyone they don’t like and there are no consequences for false reporting. Doesn’t matter if you do your best. If you play enough you will eventually get falsely suspended due to false reports because of tilted teammates reporting everyone on their team they thought didn’t play perfectly.
Appealing seems pointless as GMs just copy/paste “ban upheld” unless you are a famous streamer that can create publicity nightmares for them and the report system seems to be set up in a way as to get peoples accounts banned so they have to buy alt accounts just to play the game in order to keep feeding blizzard more profits.
As if the matchmaker even asks players what languages they speak what they wanna play what team comps they enjoy, so the matchmaker is matchmaking everyone without that knowledge creating conflict instead of preventing it, i do wonder what solutions they have to fix that, but i am pretty sure quality could go up if you simply asked players to give that kind of information thru profile for example and preference queue, rather then to force everyone to fill or play tank or healer when they don’t want to.
All these issues could be prevented, there should’t even be a report system, they should just add a report button of when something bad happens, a replay will kick in you mark the replay and that’s it no one specific gets reported, then a court system of players verify if report is legit and start flagging which players are showing bad behavior, lastly when enough verify the reports a GM can go thru it and apply final judgement but not until verifying what happened is against code of conduct etc.
Anyway i think they should look at figuring out ways to increase match quality right now rather, so players can play what they want whenever they want.
All I can do to avoid getting reported is fill as quickly as humanly possible. Ruins a lot of the fun for me but do it for the win and avoid reports made against you.
they are working on replays hopefully. then the reports shuold be linked to the game you was reported in so you can better look though what happned on the other hand if they find no evidence of what is reported all that made a report should be baned no warning.
the worest kind of griefing is trying to take away others ability to play.
they can also remove report system and then make unlimeted avoids.
