Hi i woundering if there is some guide to helps knowing if someone cheating?..sometimes i throw a report on someone becuse it feels like example wall hack or aimbot but i dont know, if they maybee just skilled…i seen highlights there example hanzo get kills and the aim is not even on the target…is it lagg on the highlight or is it a bugg or cheat? i dont know.

Locking onto your through a wall without any prior knowledge of you being there -
Heros like ashe widowmaker mcree hanzo tracer and genji are all heros that seem to attract cheaters
In the case of genji and tracer people use macros to string abilitys together an animation cancel beyond the realms of human reaction time and some more sophisticated cheat systems have auto bots that will reflect/recall when terminal damage is incoming automatically

… This is what’s wrong with the game, making false reports getting people suspended for your paranoia.

there is nothing wrong with reporting someone based on a belief. its not like a certain amount of reports instantly means you’re banned. they review it, they check the system to see if they are using any software. “NO ONE” can really justify calling hacks unless its blatant. if you are on the same team for example. you cant see the kill cam you dont have any proof that someone is actually cheating. its suspected. so no its not whats wrong with the game. people call out what they believe and its checked. you cant always have proof but that shouldnt be the defining factor of a report.
this guy is literally just asking whether there are ways to help him check whether or not he can make accurate reports of whether someone is cheating. trying to get better at distinguishing skill to “potential” cheating. and you’re going on about fake reporting and how its bad. not relevant.
anyway i have been sus of someone before like a soft lock hack. only noticable after they get close to your head especially long distance after time they get almost perfect tracking until you get out of the range that it tracks. i had no defining proof but i still had suspicions so i reported. all you can do

This is incorrect. When the system was on it was automated and it was based on number of reports there was no review

Look at this. Pay attention on aim and you will understand everything. Normal aim moves smoothly and live. Cheater aim have blinks, no move and stuck on the target. Even if u don’t see the target.

Hey guys,
Just to clarify false reports made in good faith will not get people suspended, we review each of these and then action is taken.
The more you report the better the system gets as we can use false reports along side genuine reports to make sure we catch cheaters!

If it is found to be a false report, no action will be taken… So what is the issue. Action is only taken if they find suspicious behaviour. Like 3rd party hacks or deranking.
Usually when I suspect a cheater I write on the additional info table ‘‘probably aimbot, prob wallhack, prob ai user, etc’’ with the following sentence ‘‘please check’’, because I’m not always 100% sure.

False reports can take action. People abused it, which is why they took away the system “Reporting message”, because people exploited it.
I commend you for asking, as I have a feeling that many, if not most, of cheating reports are actually false, and done so just because someone got outplayed and doesn’t know what a real cheater looks like so they just report them for cheating as a way to get back at the player and make themselves feel better.
As for tell-tale signs of a cheater, well obviously things like
- tracking, if you notice their curser is LOCKED on to an enemy and they’re tracking them perfectly, then that’s very fishy.
- being able to predict when enemies appear behind walls, things that shouldn’t be happening unless you’re a wallhack hero (ie; s76, widow, etc)
- Snap-aim; when their aim snaps almost instantly from enemy to enemy
and so on.
this game is infested with cheaters, and people like you allow them to carry on uninhibited because you refuse to believe it…

I never said there’s no cheaters in the game, I said that I think a lot of the reports for cheating are false reports by people who can’t spot a true cheater and if you don’t agree with that then you’re just not thinking logically.
Unfortunately, all of this can make sense from another side…
Professional widowmakers can do it almost the same. And see differences between that two becomes really hard.
Ofc if team have widow and hanzo - u can tell why she or he find you or enemy. But what if they told team you going to from upstairs or from the building?
There can be moments when you can’t even hit your enemy. Or annihilate whole team. Ofc if don’t mean blinks. If u do - sorry
I actually got my account banned because of people accusing me of cheating. I had to write Blizzard and plea my case. After a week, got an unban.
It really sucks when getting accused of something you didn’t do.
You can’t say someone is cheating or smurfing if he is just better than you. Sometimes I see smurfs, but sometimes smurfs are along my side, sometimes against me, sometimes I win smurfs, depend on your mod, your performing, performing of your team. So far 3 years playing Overwatch, haven’t seen yet any cheaters.

it’s easy, if he has bronze profile, playing in silver/gold/plat and carrying the game (probably with a genji, a widowmaker, a tracer or a doomfist, it’s a smurf.
If he is stucked on that rank is certainly a smurf that is winning and deranking to stay on that rank, probably with streaming on.
And btw, i saw cheater in the game, reported them and i had the proof that they get banned.
