Can we please get a system for legit players to spectate and filter through hacker reports like CSGO. The fact that i can run into the same blatant cheater 3 times in a week is kinda crazy.
You can always watch the match replay to check if someone was hacking or not. In this game we respawn in 10 seconds so it doesnât make sense being able to spectate in game.
Even better when trashmaking matches you against the same cheater stack 2-3x in a row, despite their100 gorillion active players. Totally not a controlled forced loss.
Itâs a tricky one. If itâs picked up by anti cheat, itâll be verified and banned in waves (to not tip cheat creators off).
If itâs not and done on reports. There are so many false accusations (by people like mistikas) that it takes time to verify them
I donât think itâll ever be âfast enoughâ to please everyone
Nah players like you cant spot cheaters.
I think the simple fix is to just bring back the avoid player option that way there is no chance of encountering that player again. Once enough people choose to avoid the hacker their queue time will get longer and they will quit the game or at worst start over, either way it puts the power in the playerâs hands.
Tip cheat creators off? No, thatâs not why they do ban waves. They do ban waves because that enable them to make money off of the cheaters for an extended period of time before they ban them.
Cheat creators will be one step ahead regardless. The reason is simple. They pay good money to get the updated codes directly from the source, and/or they work for the source themselves and create cheats to make money on the side. Itâs a very lucrative business, after all.
By allowing cheaters to run rampant for an entire year almost, they are ruining the game experience for every legit player out there.
When you have people like Flats, Emongg and Jay3 doing live cheater VODs, looking at spinbots and obvious rage hackers etc, cheating for weeks and months, not getting banned, then there should be some alarm bells ringing somewhereâŚ
An aggressive kernel level anti-cheat would be fast enough. But like i said, cheat creators will always be one step ahead, even with live bans, which makes ban waves and the reasoning behind them, even more pointless.
Oh yeah. I forgot you thought like that.
It also stops the cheater from being able to realise what specific actions tipped of the anti cheat/verification making it slightly hard to fix.
But you go with your theory.
Yea came here for this topic. Like can I have a bank of 5 tokens to ban playing with certain ppl at all?
You didnât understand what OP meant by it, did you?
CS:GO used to have a system called âOverwatchâ (quite ironic).
What is the Overwatch?
The Overwatch lets the CS:GO community regulate itself by allowing qualified and experienced members of the community (âinvestigatorsâ) to review reports of disruptive behavior, determine whether those reports are valid, and apply temporary bans if appropriate. How do investigators get selected?
Investigators are selected based on their CS:GO activity (competitive wins, account age, hours played, Skill Group, low report count, etc.) (âŚ)
So itâs not someone with admin rights banning on suspicion.
Itâs active players within the community above a given rank and other criteria who get sent VODs to review, with all names anonymized (e.g., Player 1, 2, 3, and one named âSuspectâ).
After reviewing, they can vote on what they suspect. If enough vote âyes, he is cheating,â the suspect gets a temporary ban, not a perma.
Not just that. Cheats are being sold through subscriptions nowadays.
Now imagine what happens to bigger sellers if everyone marked by the system for a ban over the past months, gets banned. Obviously, they refund it, and on many sites, refunds are tied to a fee. Itâs a strategy to bleed them out financially.
Anyhow, the bottom line is, the way they handle it, cheaters are ruining the game for the majority of the time.
If the game were perfect, you might be able to put up with it, but itâs not.
So here I was thinking I was playing against bots again, because of pre-fire and reaction time from behind walls.
Would be great to get an Overwatch feature in the game.
X amount of reports, then the account is temporarily banned until reviewed by a legit certified/trained admin or something?
Sounds like a good shout to me also.
