Has ranked system changed

Hi

Has the rank up system changed cos my initial rank ups are crazy.

Last season I was diamond 5 support and they deranked me to plat 3

I won 5 games lost 2 and got ranked all the way to diamond 3 in on jump.

Now the strangest one is tank I was plat 5 deranked to gold 2. I’ve had a torrid time 5 wins 11 losses and a disconnect when my internet went down and I’ve just ranked plat 4 ?

I was expecting to drop heavy I just don’t understand. Is personal performance now taken into account as many of the losses I did ok or well and had really bad DPS. A few games I stunk but maybe only two.

Your rank is tied more closely to your over all skill (mmr) than a separate sr.
So you’ll be tossed to your actual rank faster than previously.

Which in theory might make climbing higher from there more difficult, but the matches should be better.
