Lately I’m experiencing lots of losing streaks in QP (6v6). I sometimes have 7+ losses in a row. The problem is that I have no idea why. Sure, I’m not a great player, but why do I get so many losses? I spoke to other players in-game and they experience the same.
I’ve tried to come up with reasons like (Am I playing vs. groups? Am I playing vs. simply better skilled players? etc) but I doubt I’m constantly pitched vs. grouped and/or better players…
So, you say 7 losses. Couple could of just been down to playing a poor comp. One could of been down to you having a stinker, another due to a team mate. Someone could of been throwing. All sorts of things. Boils down to unlucky coincidences a lot of the time (unless you’re just straight up throwing games, which you aren’t in this case)
Ultimately, if you review the games and make sure you learn from the mistakes you made and implement that next game. Then you can’t do a lot more.
The whole “playing Vs groups” thing doesn’t really make any difference. It’s just a cheap excuse someone who’s solo might use when they don’t want to look inwards. But, statistically, solo players win more than stacks.
where is this information from? And why do most of the top 500 play in stacks, obviously because the chances of winning are higher than playing with random people
No. You can’t constantly lose and win so that the winrate is 50%, it’s mathematically impossible. As an example, I can give boxers who can win 20 fights with knockouts before their first loss, they do not have a constant 50% winrate.
Losing and winning several times in succession is mathematically extremely unlikely, but in the game it happens all the time.
this leads me to believe that the MMR gives up once it realizes you will NOT be spending money. And then you get these horrid losing streaks without the balance of a winning streak.
I feel ya. I used to have some losing streaks, but since mid-season, all my 6v6 matches are now also absolute sweatfests, with players on the enemy team just wiping everyone. Been playing since it launched in 2016, but wondering if it would be a good idea to just ditch the game.
