Healing is a BORING and THANKLESS job

There is really no need for healers in this game, when most DPS based heroes can press one button and wipe out half the team, whether it be by getting an “official” aimbot like Soldier’s ult or just pressing Q to make this huge dragon appear like Hanzo’s ult which they tend to get every 30 seconds because how easy it is to hit things with them.

Healers are always the first targets and there is just no reward in a game where you have no direct impact in the game because most ults are capable of one shotting an entire team, making healing almost completely useless. Plus, they are always bullied by DPS players and considered priority targets so its not fun to play.

Mercy is only so good at the moment because of her E Rez, NOTHING else. Healing just feels completely redundant as a role in this game. Blizzard tried to build a shooter around the Tank/DPS/Healer triangle and then gave every DPS a way to instakill everyone making those roles redundant.

Insult me if you want but I don’t see the point in it honestly.

The amount of kids in this game is also a complete scourge compared to much more cerebal Blizzard games like WoW and Diablo.

You know, the press 1 button and wipe a team can be consistently pulled off by a tank, not a DPS.

Other than that - stop whining. Game is built around counters and certain heroes counter supports. You gotta deal with it like everyone else instead of constantly asking for more and more.

Most of the tanks have to aim or time their ults (unlike D.Va) who gets an easy pass on everything. Or Junkrat that doesn’t have to aim grenades.

Zarya’s ultimate is much more easy to execute than pretty much every DPS ultimate bar something like Widow’s and Sombra’s.

Also takes ages to charge, unlike Hanzo’s dragon spam

Doesn’t really matter, your original point was about 1 click team wipe ultimates. Hanzo’s dragons by comparison would be lucky to get 1-2 kills without any setup.

Oh and lets not forget Bridgette, who is only useful because of her shield bash and nothing else. Healing is almost completely redundant in this game.

Nobody wants to play a role that is useless most of the time and can’t defend themselves which is why hardly anyone in Quick Play will go healer. Its a thankless job that feels pointless.

Or you are simply not good enough. If you have soooo much trouble defending yourself and achieve no impact switch to a tank. Or to a DPS since playing them is so easy they can wipe a team without looking at them.

Yes, its totally me XD I love game forums, its always the same excuses for an obvious flaw in the games design. Funny enough, its not me that gets killed by these things btw. I just think ults in general are completely unfair when this is supposed to be a skill based game.

This goes both ways. Making excuses that its the game’s fault and not yours has been there ever since gaming forums became a thing.

the only thing you need to learn as a healer is how to stay alive and even that is too hard for you

gj

and funny you mention 1 shot ability because briggite have one and zen have one and anna have one

and that isnt an ult

Yeah 20k healing at the end of a KotH didnt do “anything” sure pal…
I think you are way way confused and the “thankless” job is tanking. Because you dont heal people but open spaces and enable attacks people dont “see” what you are doing.

BTW Just pressing Q with Zen or Lucio can make your team live through team wipe ults and Brig can even make that AND you ressist enough to push after that.

LOL.
WoW is getting easier and easier every patch dude, theres literally 0 challenge besides getting to top level and “gear” up. The only difficulty that game has is fighting the RNG to get the gear and find “not-dumb” people that actually can consistently push through content.

You guys must not do a very good job at tanking or healing because ever since the endorsement system was put into the game I have gotten at least one endorsement every single game I’ve played a healer or a tank unless I’ve already gotten endorsements from my teammates and I’ve stayed for consecutive games.

I like it when people take all of their credibility away in the start post. Maybe you should fix that attitude and then ask the devs to fix some real issues in this game

you should play wow with supporting class in hardcore top 5 guilds then u gonna say wtf this game is toooo ez for supporting

Well duhh. That’s why there’s tanks and DPS to PROTECT the healer.

The fact she’s the strongest healer in-game and can fly to the team mates, so no, her “E Rez” isn’t the only good thing about her.

Dragon spam lol… Can easily avoid it by being in a decent position. (Excluding Zaryas Ultimate paired)

Her heals are quite decent also so no, they’re not useless.

Something tells me this just isn’t the game for you…

support allways has been a weird part to play and every game there’s people like you who bash it…

play without a support and see how good you do… untill then just shut your trap…

support is one of most if the most important role in the game

If you seriously think d.va’s ult needs no timing or you can just throw ult and get kills I challenge you to play her against players with half a brain, if you die that often to her bomb your positioning is terrible

underrated is more like it

nobody ever remembers you healing them… but let them die on the other side of the friggin map away from the team… aaaaaaand you’re a useless suport

Not to mention that supporting in Overwatch was never a thankless job.

In the beginning when people still cared about cards supports were universally upvoted on principle. Now with the endorsement system the very same thing is happening. Hell, support characters are the most coddled in the game thanks to Blizzard bending over to keep their spoiled mains. But no, thats not enough, supports must deal as much damage as a DPS be tanky and heal in the thousands to boot otherwise they are bad, like seriously.

As a side question: have you ever played a support in a game like Dota 2? Where you are the ward b1tch and can barely scrape enough gold for basic items? Where past 20 minutes you are getting annihilated by enemy ganks in less than a second? Where even though you have more than 10 times less gold than your cores you still must contribute to teamfights? Where words like sacrifice and selflessness are common when describing the role? Probably not.
