Honestly, the sheer level of failure is driving me away.
I’ve read and watched many advice videos and so on, and follow them well, saving DM for ults, firestrike, deathball etc, placing some sweet dva bombs, picking targets, but henstly if my performance isn’t affecting the game positively whats the point? I can’t break out of this rut.
As for Zarya, i only pop shields when i’m taking damage, i only give shields when they’re in need or taking damage, i just don’t really like her playstyle.

Main Lucio here, same problem I was gold plat like 2 seasons ago, now I’m 2100.
I came back to the game last week, did placements, got 2482 and in 35 games I won 12. Add JACKGUERRI (PS4) for skrim and we can try stuff.

Well like I said in my first reply its impossible to know what your doing wrong if you dont have any game play to show. People just give random and mostly stupid advice. Its impossible to repair something if you dont know what is broken.
Well D.va might not be the best choice as a tank when the enemy team has a zarya as tank. So you might want to consider that. As about playing moira since you like it , you can always ask the team if they can let you play her instead.
Get in-game ‘friends’ and q with those. ABout 8 months ago when I played most comp I was going up quite fast, besides me figuring things out it was because I had a bunch of reliable ppl to go in with. When I saw someone who did really well + communicated, etc, I sent them a friend invite. They almost always excepted, and I got invites too, so I always had 3-4 ppl online to group with.
Btw about 3/4th of them aren’t playing anymore by the looks of it.
Wait until the LFG system comes out. The people using the system will be the kind of players interested in communicating, playing comps that work for the scenario, and overall have a sportsmanship mentality. You’ll easily be able to play with 6 people working together (the way the game is meant to be played), and won’t have to worry about overcoming the toxic mentality, quitters, and solo-rambo playstyle. At that point, just be friendly and listen to teammates and you’ll win more.
Now obviously there will be times you run into bad groups, but I imagine unless a group consist of all toxic players, the tilting toxic scrubs will simply be kicked from the group and their endorsement levels will be too low to get into good groups.
Tilting is pointless, if you been diamond since for example s3 then there no reason for you to drop below that if you stay consistent with what you play, actually made it to masters this season on main account, things i notice you climb a little by 100 sr then stay there for few games then climb another 100 sr then stay there few games, the same pattern when you drop rank, so there no reason to tilt at all, just pay attention to how you play improve your own play and you start climbing even faster, at 3347 i actually had a 10 game winstreak peeking 3491 then i had a much smaller loss streak then a much smaller win streak, untill i stabilized around 3450 for a while and then had 3 lucky games and made it to masters.
If you get very inconsistent teams that throw big deal, sometimes you drop rank but your MMR still climbs, sometimes the bad players have to drop outside your range so you can climb up and have better team mates, this is where you get winstreaks and loss streaks from, its annoying but not a big deal has nothing to do with how good or bad you are its just that there always lots of players on legit loss streaks.
Well, the higher you go the less success you’ll have with heroes who are outside the meta.
