So there’s a lot of negativity going around on the forums as of late, so I just wanted to make some space for a bit of positivity on here and who doesn’t enjoy a bit of hero speculation? I personally hope it’s someone like Maximilien, mainly because I want another omnic character in the game and I feel like he would give a lot of opportunities for lore expansion via voice lines and hero interactions. Let’s get speculating, hunnies

Either a tank or a healer,hopefully something to stop the mass CC we have right now
Ideally a healer with a cleanse/cc immunity buff that they can place on allies
It’s probably going to be a DPS, though I would welcome a new main tank and / or anti-CC.
If it’s a DPS, I think a fast, mobile, fragile, burst fire, hit scan, airborne (flying), anti-air hero like Starcraft 2s Phoenix unit could be cool. It could move / feel like a flight simulator hero who can do passing attack runs and flybys and hunt down enemy Pharah. This would make the skies much more contested in open maps and make battles feel more 3 dimensional. It would provide a hero who can actively chase down Pharahs into areas where a Soldier or Mcree wouldn’t normally be able to get to.
Personally think that they should take a break from the DPS section because of how large it is compared to the Tanks and Supports. If we had more of these two, people would be more likely to main that class. I’ve wanted Athena in the game for a long time, there’s a robot that has her logo on and she looks so cool, I bet she’d be a really unique support!

I feel like one of the MEKA pilots would fit that design pretty well. I remember one of the mech’s being a much slimmer, more agile version of d.va’s mech (I think it was the red one???). However, I’d rather it not be another dps atm, I feel like that class is in a good spot right now with a vast majority of the roster being viable, but I do like that idea a lot.
We’ll find out at Blizzcon! If it doesn’t bring anything big to the table, then I’m probably going to quit Overwatch because it’s old feeling of constant fun and unique gameplay has just vanished now that Symmetra has been reworked. Hoping a new fun healer comes out that I can main!
