i play this game with my friend a lot. and because he has been playing for longer, he gets better ranks than me. we play open que only together and while i get only 1 rank upgrade EVERYTIME on all ranks and he get 3 rank upgrades in one. now we almost cant play competetive together because of the hidden ranking system that is keeping me back.
It is because your friend is better than you, and your friends MMR is boosting him higher.

- your friend can throw a bunch of games when hes playing solo.
- you can work to improve and catch up.
