High latency was an issue 4 days ago and it’s happening again… Waiting 20 minutes for a game is bad enough but then that game being unplayable… please fix…

Can confirm this is also happening for myself and a friend, both in the uk, i’m in the southwest and he is in London
ping is hanging around the 180 mark for us both

Same latency issue here, it feels like playing NA server in EU. plz help us

We may well be playing on NA servers right now. I’m having latency issues on PS4 and XBOX, but my American friend didn’t have latency issues, so it’s likely we’re just connecting to their servers

I’m also randomly getting very high latency again since the new patch. Normally sit around 40ms but every now and then ill logon to 200? Tried all the troubleshooting and nothing works, i’ll normally just give up and come back another day hoping it is fixed. Not getting the issue with any other online games either, just Overwatch.

Playing from UK after patch and experiencing the same here. 180ms when playing on EU server. Seems like routing issue from UK to their AMS servers. Blizzard should investigate their routing from UK to AMS as that’s the most probable cause. Or Corona now infecting broadbands too… who knows.

Posts like this been cropping up over last few months and they treat it as an individual issue each time rather than clearly something happening across the entire area

The same thing was happening to me. I’m from the UK but I’m currently closer to the states and I was getting this latency spike on the EU servers. Funny thing is I was playing with someone who was in the same room as me, in the same match and not getting the latency spikes. It’s almost like my account being British was causing the spike rather than me actually being in the UK.

same, i’m getting a low MS playing on NA servers, based within the UK.

Apparently there’s an issue with the UK connections specifically that’s causing them to route through NA servers then back to EU. Hopefully it should be fixed soon, I’d literally be better off playing NA right now.

This is happening to me too. I’m from Hungary and have the same latency problem (around 140ms) as 4 days ago. The issue is not only about UK…

Same problem. Might as well play on NA, my ping is waaaay lower there. Playing from UK- EU 160ms, US 110

Fixed for me it seems. getting 15ms when pinging OW server now.
