High latency on EU Region

Hello,
I’m experiencing high latency on EU servers for 2 weeks. I usually play 60-70 ping around however my ping is around 130 ms for 2 weeks.
It seems my network traffic is getting routed though US.
Require assistance,
BR,

PS: Trace root IP has taken from Overwatch network graph tool

Heya Xana,

Sorry to hear you’ve been seeing some latency recently. You are spot on with your analysis and it does appear that your ISP is routing you through to the US which is causing this increase that you are seeing. This would be something on your ISP’s side to resolve and you would be looking to reach out to them to inform them of the issue.

Thank you for your reply Mosinathus,
I think i’m getting forwarded to ASIA region no matter which region i choose.
Because i asked players in chat that said this is ASIA region.
I keep get connected to servers in Bahrain which IP address starts with 15.184.XXX.XXX
I also opened ticket to my ISP however i don’t think its related with them.
I think Blizzard should investigate this.
BR,

Edit
Hello,
I dont know what changed but everything get backed to normal today.
I did nothing however I’m getting routed to NL servers.
I slept and woke up.
nothing else.
Thank you

Glad to hear things worked out for you! We didn’t change anything either (and couldn’t have either, as we have literally zero influence on your routing), so it seems your ISP did find out what was going wrong on their end.

This is a joke right? An ISP is not going to reroute data from overwatch to asia or what ever. You are not that important haha. God support is bad.

just to clarify middle east is considered part of europe region servers according to blizzard and not asia.

you really dont know how routing works . isp can change things on their end if a problem occurs.

The game client doesn’t just connect to a server in the EU/US/Asia regions by its own will, it’s your (Blizzard’s) “game manager” server that is telling the game client to connect to a certain server.

In this case above it seems that the game client of this player was “told” to connect to an Asia region server, and that server’s IP address was 15.185.243.87.

I am also experiencing this issue. Getting 130 MS ping every match in EU region.
