I was playing overwatch yesterday with two friends, one lives in my country and one lives in new zealand. When we were grouped as a 3 I had my normal 80 ping and my friend in new zealand had 60 ping. Then when our other group member who lives in my country left and we tried to join a game, I ended up with 330 ping while my friend in new zealand had 40 ping. Is there a solution to this because I really want to play with them but overwatch is unplayable at those latencies
Just don’t have a friend in another country.
If without a joke, it’is a seriosly problem.
I don’t have this problem, when i play with my friend from Cuba and Germany.
Maybe this, because i have a really cool internet from a 2010.
I pay only 7$ and have 130 MB/Second and good internet connection.
I play on Wi-Fi router.
You play with Wi-Fi router or cabel?
We always recommend connecting with a cable whenever possible. WiFi connections can be unstable and sensitive to interferences, so we can’t really provide proper support for a WiFi connection.
I would recommend following all the steps in this article, including the advanced troubleshooting:
battle.net/support/article/99037
If the issue persists after that, we will need some data so we can investigate:
- Details of issue:
- Date/time it started:
- City/Country:
- Internet Provider:
- Traceroute (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
- Pathping (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
- WinMTR (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
