I admit that I’ve recently began getting more tilted in Overwatch due to the actions of lower rank/level players in casual mode (I even rage quit at times, which is something I usually don’t do often). Every game I play there are 3-5 players locking in a Damage hero, this results in infuriating games where people do the following:
-
treat the match as aim practice and stand in corners “trying” to click heads only to be outshot by enemy DPS players
-
go for objectives without proper heroes to do so (e.g. not having a main tank to lead the charge or a main healer for heals, a.k.a bad team composition)
-
people realizing the situation as a DPS insta-lock fest and either go with comps that consists entirely of damage heroes or simply leave one after another
As a result, losses are very common for a lower level play such as myself (for anyone wondering, I’m level 121, a support main currently looking to branch out and practice more heroes/roles to get ready for ranked)
How do I avoid this from happening? 1/5 games I play consists of balanced or meta comps. I haven’t even seen a GOATS comp at all. I am aware that I can simply play rank but there are times when I wish to practice heroes in a casual environment to polish my mechanics. I am also aware that at higher ranks/levels this does occur less, which is something I hope I can reach. Any suggestions from the community would greatly help.
