How does Ranked work?

Hi there,

Ive been playing Ow since Sombra got added. Not really caring for Comp at all, However Ive started caring about it.
So I done my Support Placements ending the 7wins with only 2 Loses in between.
Out of Both Supports in Most games Ive got the Most Heals , Most Elims, Most Dmg.
However Ive somehow hended up In Bronze 2 which makes me thing that the placement matches are pointless and it doesnt matter how good you do .
You are put into bronze no matter what.

Like I Know im not a God at the game or that im the best support ever but Bronze 2 for Being like i stated above…
Seems that the placements are filler content and are scuffed on how it does your placement.

(16-20 kills / 10K plus heals)

Like i have zero will to play comp now after trying hard and getting bronze 2 which is Nothing at all.

GG Blizzard…What a phenomenal way to discourage me from Comp Play.

Im just expecting the " bot, your trash comments"…if only you knew the truth.

You will now always be placed slightly lower in OW2 and be made to earn your rank.

In OW1, people would often place gold, or near gold then spend the next few seasons slowly dropping (unless they figured their stuff out and got good).

I’m your initial placements. Wins and losses means almost zero. But after that you’ll be boosted closer and closer to the rank that matches your hidden MMR.

So, you’re B2 now, but if your MMR thinks your around Gold 3 (for example), play well and win 7 more you’ll probably jump quickly to silver 4, then silver 2 or and so on
