nobody uses voice chat or talks about stategies and comps. it’s only now i started caring about these things as my knowledge and understanding grew with the game.
After casually playing for a long time i want to be more serious with my games but it’s like nobody cares or tries anymore. My interest in the game competitively peaked too late and now i don’t find a player base who actively wants good games. Plat really is the Elo hell they say it is, most peopl don’t even know the basic principles of this game. Using coms, calling out, ult tracking, counterpicking, ult cooldowns.

Only premades with the same mindset will fix this.
Not a single company can fix this issue in solo que, not that i am trying too defend Activision. Cause for me i just wished those greedy folks get bankrupt and stop corrupting every good gaming company like they did with Blizzard.
But their is no single multiplayer game in the competitive scene who can fix people their attitude. If you want results only focus on your own and just take the mess. Or look for people who want to dedicate them self with the same mindset. The last option i say good luck with that, most people have jobs and no time to keep a stable team where everyone else magically can play at the same time.
WoW can do this easily.
OW just lacks the tools to organize yourself and your team.
That beeing said, wow needs a good amount of administration to keep a guild alive.
Mostly this is spread across multiple players. And features are mostly discussed with discord or TeamSpeak.
Yes because dropping randoms in a team is going to fix this. No it won’t if you want good results for a long period you got to find people with the same mindset. WoW dungeon finder can not be compared to a competitive environment like Overwatch.
Although role select que might lower the stress since you can play what u want too play. But I belief this would not solve the issue that a team of 6 randoms is always going to work together. Nevertheless I would like so see a role select for those still into the competitive scene of this game.
I’m talking about organizing a guild raid, not some random lfr or whatever.
The same 20 players every week.
That is if you can find the people and do stick together longer then a week/month.
The “problem” is that OW needs a lot of communication to play it in the best way, but…
If you compare OW with other FPS games, it is surprising how much communication there is. I agree, if you end up in a team that does not communicate, your chances to win decrease significantly.
Try to play some CS:GO or BF or COD. It is ridiculous in that games. If someone is on the mic, its usually to play trash music or talk in a foreign language, scream in the mic etc.
If you want more communication and enjoy the game in a better way, go in games minimum as 3 stack. Add players as friends after games, that communicated (and played well 
) and next time group up and go comp.

Overwatch is dying and so it’s playerbase, back than you could find players that took the game seriously in Platinum, they may have already climbed to Master or something but now most of the playerbase in Platinum are people that don’t take it too seriously or aren’t as good. So therefore you get people that are less interested in playing that good.
EU has 23 languages to think there no language barrier on this forum is insanity afterall anyone who visits this forum speaks English, there for its easy to assume its not a language barrier problem, there for its always players fault not the matchmaker.
If been nagging about preference based matchmaking for quite some time now, like preference not only for what kind team comp you wanna play but also what your first and second and third language spoken is, so matchmaker can match you with players on team that have similar preferences, so you always will be understood, and if takes to long to find match, it should be considered that if your team has 0 coms then neither should the enemy team have coms to keep things fair.
I speak Dutch and English btw.
Matchmaker is ancient simple on paper very complex in reality but the results are terrible in reality, it needs an upgrade to eliminate the most common issues, atleast the easy to solve problems like language barrier or baseline role queue and role based MMR and SR, if they take a step further they can do hero based MMR and SR to, you have to be open minded and creative to think of a solution of how to fix the new problems it brings, pretty sure i already mentioned how i would solve that.
Anyway all of this don’t matter if they do not engage with player base, feel so disconnected, and i just uninstalled today.
I’ve watched plenty of GM’s streaming, their games aren’t any better. They are dealing with the same stupidity and BS every other rank is
