How in the hell are there queues for every role

Just had 6 min queue for healer, and now a 3 min (so far) queue for tank. A 14 min dps queue before that.

How can you design a game so badly that EVERY role has a queue??

Queuing system is solving a problem. They did not came up with it as design idea. It’s system you have in banks or post offices as well.

The queueing system is not solving any problem mate, IDK where are you getting that from.
Its basically a Forced 222 that “solves” people being too lazy to use LFG. Nothing else.

Ah … also to introduce Role Queue, which is good I guess, but Forced 222 is one of the worst updates OW has ever had.

I believe if you leave games a lot, and perhaps reported frequently, you’ll suffer longer queue times too. That could also contribute it. Most of my tank and support queue times are less than 2 minutes, I never really leave games early.

Where I am getting it from…all right, mate. Lets see how this game would be without any queuing system at all.

… what?
Are you new dude? … you … do know he is not talking about a basic queue system right? He is talking about the long queues due to the forced 222.

Who the actuall hell is claiming there should not be queues at all? That would mean only “custom games” would exist :man_facepalming:

this is how you know that nobody actually wanted it, if its optional nobody used it.
Thats why they had to enforce it upon us against our will and why comp classic is off the table, because nobody would endure 2-2-2 anymore if he wouldn’t have to.

It solved the problem of entitled DPS forcing teams to lose.

Nobody cares what your irrelevant opinion on the matter is. Data proves you wrong.

Wrong, actual players play it because it makes the game good.

DPS players need to grow up and get over it.

you don’t have any data, blizzard does yet they are unlikely to tell the truth because it could potentially harm their business.
So for now its just you having an irrelevant opinion.

Blizzard has the data, Blizzard has stated several things.

Your tin-foil hat makes you question it.

My opinion is relevant, yours is not because you have nothing.

yeah blizzard has the data, never disputed it.
But you don’t.

Except you have disputed it several times because you think it’s not true and they won’t release it because it’ll look bad for them, because you think they’re hiding stuff.

Literal tin-foil hat.

I never disputed that they have the data.
All I dispute in a way is that they are not reflecting them in their pr statements.

No you just dispute it all entirely.

You’re also claiming something and have absolutely nothing to back up your claim whatsoever.

Irrelevant.
Opinion.

Queue is a queue, it doesn’t matter if its 2-2-2 or 5-5-5 or 1-3-2. I don’t need to ask you are you new.

just.
like.
yours.

Except
Mine
Isn’t

Because I base mine on evidence and facts, you know the thing you don’t have?

your opinion is based on what other people tell you, thats your “facts”.

It’s I assume a game design choice in that every role has different critical factors defining their success. Having excellent aim on a tank like Reinhard won’t be as important as say, spatial awareness. Objectively I wouldn’t be surprised if the same rating of a tank and DPS would make completely different players, yet equally successful at the rating they function at.

It’s quite ingenious in that if a seasoned DPS switches to a tank or support, he wouldn’t likely function at the same level of skill and therefore making his whole team suffer. The system simply says you have to prove your skill before you can do so before you commit to it. That’s good game design I’d say.
