How is Mei-rry still legendary?

Just asking, it’s still just a recolor with a hat - making the ice-block a snow man doesn’t make it legendary, especially when we now have epics like hellfire Reaper or the new Orisa Sanye or Brig General.

Old news I know, but in any event with Mei-rry in the loot pool it’s still taking the spot of a legendary for anyone that doesn’t yet have it. It should be either reworked to be legendary or adjust it’s rarity to fit.

Remove this = epic skin

And the new epic skins for Orisa and Brigitte look like legendaries :man_shrugging:

Because they just added stuff. They did not remodel the whole character.

Just like Mei-rry and yet it’s legendary.

Mei-rry changes the ice block, an ability, and is thus different.

To quote you “They just added stuff, they did not remodel the whole character”.

The iceblock is the same, just with a snowman face added on top.

It’s a complete remodel of the ice block.

Here is the standard ice block:

And here is the Mei-rry ice block:

Then the new skins can be considered legendaries too with the model changes of some parts of the skin.

No, because this skin:

…is epic, too.

You seem like the kind of guy who wants to be right always so let’s agree to disagree.

Nope, I’m the kind of guy who challenges peoples way of thinking to see wether they’re right or wrong.

So try to find a way to disagree before admitting defeat

How can I argue a cosmetic perception of an item, you see it or you don’t. You don’t, I do.

Just because the devs had to make a choice for a category to classify skins doesn’t mean it’s inherently right. They see an epic skin, I see a legendary one and vice-versa.

If we follow your logic (the devs’ logic I guess) then some Bastion’s epic skins should be legendary because Ganymede has a different model. Or how his legendary skin Overgrown is just the same as the basic skin but with some “stuff added”.

Anyway disagreeing =/= defeat, we’re just talking here, not fighting, I guess I was kinda right when I thought you were the guy who wants to be right and even if you think you’re right it doesn’t mean others are always wrong or that you’re the judge of it especially when it comes to cosmetics.

Moving on.

Edit: I just checked all the skins in game and we’re just nitpicking anyway.

You can’t agree to disagree without giving an explanation why you disagree. You never said that you still see Mei-rry as an epic skin because you don’t think that an ability reskin would be enough to make a skin legendary.

You never said that though. All you did is refuting the logic behind my argument without a reason. You showed no reason to disagree as if you can’t disagree anymore, thus admitting defeat.

So, do want to stop the discussion by claiming that it is solely opinion based or do you want to see how far this can get with logical reasoning?

And it’s the whole point of the topic.

I gave an explanation why I disagree.

There’s a logical reasononing for the skins to be classified as they are for 99% of them, we’re talking about the 1% were logic doesn’t apply so yes, it’s opinion based, especially for cosmetics.

Are we clear now? At least I am and I’m out, not gonna further this pointless discussion.

Yet there is a logic behind of it: It is the only Epic-like skin that changes the ability’s visuals.

Unless you disagree with this logic, which would make it completely opinion based, there is actually a reason why Mei-rry skin is legendary and the others are not.
