I would like to come back to Overwatch after a 8 months break but i would like to now what is the current situation ?
Like who got nerfed, who got buffed, who are the “OP” heroes of the moment ?
Is there still too much smurfs in lower rank ? Are support players still treated like poo poo garbage by those Genji mains ?
You know the kind of stuff, i would like to know if this game is still worth it.
That depends on sr. Now more than ever I think. Reaper dominates lower ranks because he shines against big / nearby targets. And the dps is all over the map as usual, not using or protecting tanks. Also a lot of games will have one or more of Symmetra, Torb or Bastion. Giving it a human vs turret feel to me. I only play a little Lucio nowadays. My other favorite Mercy still has too low healing output. For gold or lower I would say the game is not in a good state at the moment. But others might disagree.
Pretty much the same as its been doing since season 1.
Just play this power creep’d heroes and enjoy easy and mindless wins.

Better than before. Brigitte has lost her charm in the lower ranks which is a huge upgrade from before. Mercy is also not the beast she used to be so added bonus. Finally tanks are not running around not dying at all, you can always pick something(McCree, Reaper) and tear them apart.
I’d say it is good.
In gold or lower, Mercy has no way near, “Too low healing output”, that is factually incorrect.
Leavers, throwers, trolls, toxicity and a developer who only cares about esports. And if you wish to play support you should know that Blizzard have nerfed two of them into oblivion (and the rest are sure to follow). Tanks have also taken a major hit. This game truly is DPSwatch now.
Playing Overwatch as of now is a miserable experience.

I confirm it. And with the fact that Tanks and Supports are now even worse, DPS main are acting worse than before flaming hard if you dare to not heal the missing 1HP or reclaiming the attention and the praise those special snowflakes requires.
So yeah not worth wasting my time in this unbalanced pile of garbage, i’ll let you guys enjoy it.

The team with more snipers or a doomfist is still guaranteed to win. They’ve had winrates higher than the next dps down by double digits for about 10 seasons now, and the only reason they’re not collectively in the 70% range is because sometimes people pick them against each other.
There’s a comp going around, Goats, that isn’t actually ever played at a serious level and can’t touch the aforementioned. I occasionally hop on a mid-high master account and I haven’t seen it once.
The meta is exactly the same as it’s been for years; D.Va, Winston, Widow, Hanzo, Mercy Zen, though other people around silver/gold will tell you different because they’re blizzard worshippers and they think that a few inconsequential buffs/nerfs like +2 damage to soldier against the few heroes with armour make any difference at all when other heroes do more with less.
The report system is still entirely automated, which is good because you can just report people who play characters you don’t like for abusive chat and they can’t do anything about it.
so all in all, nothing you do can affect the outcome of a match. it’s entirely won or lost at the hero select screen. as it’s pretty much always been.

While hero picks can have a lot of impact on what your team is capable of accomplishing, it’s not at all the only factor.
Honestly it just sounds like you personally have been unable to figure out a way to play around these heroes.
Well they can appeal action taken against them if the reports have been unjustified.
I would answer in depth but this community likes to disagree with everything and anything that isn’t pairing with their own opinion., I’ll simply say this, Hog, Turrets and junkrat, -_- that is all.
You mean to say that Roadhog , Torb, Symmetra and Hunkrat are underpowered in the current meta? Cause I agree!
Although Ashe can be fun to play her character introduction has made Overwatch the least enjoyable state its been for me.
Theres too many characters where people feel the need to sit back and not advance objectives. Hanzo, Mcree, Widow and Ashe are being played in the same type of role so you get inbalanced teams and poor quality games.
You got poor games before Ashe but you just get even more now with more similar characters you usually dont need more of in your team.
Don’t play it, whatever you do, don’t. if you are reading this, please don’t play overwatch, for your own health and safety. Just don’t.
Recent buffs and updates have made it worse. it’s gotten to a point where it can be unplayable and full of frustration.
