Hanzo = Sombra
I find Sombra acting as a flanker can counter him. She’s quick, can get close enough to hack out his arrow flurry and has decent damage burst to nuke him.
Widow = Gap Closers
Widows strength is in her ability to impact hard from long range. Close the gap and she loses her viability. Genji, with his small hitbox and quick speed and D-va with her shield excel at this
Brigitte = Brigitte / Pharah / Junkrat
Engaging a Brigitte WITH a brigitte forces two things. Either a 1 v 1 fight in which team mates can engage and be the deciding factor or a Brigitte shielding up and walking away as thier health is whittled away
Pharah has an obvious range and height advantage but her real power is in her A.O.E. from her missles. Hitting the flanks of Brigitte sends her running
Junkrat too has AOE at his beck and call and can bait a prigitte into a snaptrap. Not only that, but as the undisputed master of Zone control he can either decimate her shield or force her to disengage entirely

So winston doesnt reallyyy counter widowmaker on all maps… He can contest her on certain maps and can be straight up food on others… Dont ever contest widow+zen on your own unless you want to be discorded and die. Winston can be good to get her to a less good sightline but if you as a widowmaker die against winston 1v1 , 200hp… then you are bad
For snipers: use cover, smart movement or shield tanks. It is also important that your team moves as a unit and puts some pressure on the enemy team so widow is forced to choose what she is shooting instead of having free reign. No match was ever won by hiding in a corner.
Its not impossible to duel a widowmaker as Pharah, btw. Not the number one option, but definitely not impossible. I think vast majority of players just don’t know what this entails. Its also beyond the scope of this thread.
Hanzo / Widow -> One of the most important things in this game is cover. You always want to play behind cover , near corners etc… to deny enemy snipers sightlines and the opportunity to shoot you. If you get shot by widow and she isn’t flanking or taking some agressive angle, you’re not where you should be.
Also , shooting at her behind a shield or just diving her works. You don’t have to kill her, just force her to use grapple and relocate, which will give you and your team some time to push safely
For brig, it really depends. In general just stay out of range of shield bash and you’ll be fine
