How to see Grouped?

Dumb question but; How can I see if someone is grouped in Quickplay? In OW1, you could easily see it by the linked portraits. But in OW2? No idea tbh…

I don’t think you can anymore.

Another thing thats worse than OW1 then eh?

You couldn’t in OW1 role queue either, because role queue has the teams set up in a set order, your can’t really show groups any more.

Just invite them to your group and it will show a message saying they are already in a group. You won’t be able to tell what group, just that they are in one.

I want to know wether I’m up against grouped people or not. Simple.

That’s fair.

Only way to find out is ask.

Unless you are playing at quiet times you should be ok. If the enemy is 2 solo players and a 3 stack… your team will be either the same, or 2 duos and a solo player.

Seeing the lines connecting the players should be a thing in OW2 so we know tbh. I don’t see the harm.

They did it in OW1, so I don’t see why they don’t do it in OW2.

Ok, but what value would that add. If you’re in Comms, what’s knowing 2/3 people are grouped going to change?

Genuinely interested to know how you think it would impact things.

Very few people actually still use pings, so at least in quickplay it would help in predicting synergy between people as groups are far more likely to voice communicate within themselves.

A support is more likely going to get peels if they are grouped, if the supports are grouped together it’s riskier to dive them alone.
It may be a small thing and i agree that in comp knowing groups isn’t that big of a deal, but in low rank quickplay it actually affects how people react to situations enough to warrant some review if they want to keep things as they are or should they get some kind of group markers included.

That was not possible in ow1 either .it only shows grouped up to the people who are playing in group among themselves .that has been the case since beginning .

Certainly in ranked that synergy could be very helpful.

I still don’t think it’s going to be that important.

Either they comm or they don’t
Or
They just have good awareness for pings and situations or not.

Groups don’t make a lot of difference on that front.

As i said, most difference it does is in lower ranks where people have less awareness of where the enemies are and are coming from. If they don’t use pings, and team voice is very rarely used, it’s good to know which people will be more aware of your positioning based on if you are seen by their group-mate.

And people really don’t use pings that well, several times i have to specificly ask people to use them after most of the team gets torn apart by a single low hp flanker (even in comp).

Pings are criminally under used that is true. Wipes out the need for 99% of calls.

As if you’re in a no Comms game and need peel. You just play closer to who’d peel for you and keep pinging.

Yes it was. You saw those portraits linked. (Regarding not showing OW1… but it did).

And why I wanna know? Because IF i see I’m up against a 5-man premade team while me being solo… I expect to get roflstomped…

Yup, it did show them. I don’t see why they don’t allow it in OW2.

It was though. You could see the portaits linked to each other to know they were in a group.

Too bad these topics die so quickly…

Not that many active people on the eu forums.
