I know Mauga’s here. Vulture may come next season and perhaps another support in the one after.
We’re likely getting a new map next season and at some point a “new” gamemode.
Mauga’s getting a nerf, likely next tuesday.
The next hero will likely be a damage hero, the archeologist that was shown off at blizzcon. They’ll likely be added in season 10 or 11.
We get Martian hero and digging hole hero soon. I wish they were more connected to the other characters and maps, with hints or voicelines or comics.

The archeologist actually has a camp and a lot of lore in one of the deathmatch maps.
And i think the team said something about a martian colony map.
To be fair, i’m not really hyped about the space girl yet, but the digging ability of the archeologist seemed interesting.
I don’t know how far you stayed but… here’s a recap:
- pre-download of the mid season patch (4.5 gb). we already know that it will contain nerfs to mauga and buffs to illari who has a very low pickrate / winrate. presumably also the new lunar year event 2024;
- we don’t know if new lunar year will have its own shop like the winter fair. but we know there will be prop &hunt and another skin for mercy.
- currently qp have a horrible bug that sometimes prevents backfill when there are leavers. we’re all hoping they fix it with tomorrow’s patch🤞
- lucio’s mastery mode has arrived, and in the next few weeks all those announced at blizzcon 2023 will arrive (d.va, genji, echo and mei);
- we know that this is the last season ever in which a new hero will be available by purchasing the bp. provably due to mauga’s pay to win complaints;
- blizzard world has a bug that cannot be selected in custom modes, a fix is expected on this too
- season 9 should address the balancing of the passives (which have remained unchanged for too long now), and with particular attention to the balancing of the power creed of damage and healing.
- it is hypothesized that the rework of the conquest maps (hanamura / hanaoka announced at blizzcon) could arrive in the next season as a novelty in the absence of a new hero.
- the developers agreed that the public pretesting of mauga was excellent, and that they will propose it for the next heroes. let’s get ready to see venture towards the last weekends of season 9, he is the first dps flanker after many years.
- in the rework / soft rework department, they are looking at Pharah and wrecking ball to optimize their gameplay experience. reaper is in their goals to re-optimize the shadow step, but they have stated that perhaps they will not follow the same approach as shadow and roadhog in which by freeing up a skill slot they started introducing other techniques;
- in the reddit AMA they stated that the PVE is empty and they don’t want it to be. they are trying to analyze a way to fill it in the next missions by adopting a public approach rather than acting too privately: they use events like trial of sanctuary to gather information on what they can offer to that experience, and there will be others;
- they noticed that the community has strongly complained about the decline in quality of the mythic skins (hanzo and orisa have much less customization) and therefore promise greater quality, even if they state that "genji since season 1 has set a rather high standard on the mythic skins, in my opinion a pathetic justification for not respecting one’s promises on one’s offer)
- there is no real information on when the restructuring of the competitive system or the total renewal of monetization should begin. but it will happen this year.
- a collection of short stories will be released in the spring, the book is called overwatch ascendants;
- obviously new collaborations are planned, but we know that soon there will be seasons with the theme of Egyptian mythology and mirror universe (the good and bad guys reverse their roles);

I noticed playing an hour of tf2 for every few hours of OW2 made it better to play the game
Now that Mauga is nerfed, kind of “ok”.
Make Previous Battle Pass Purchasable the same way Halo infinite does it. Can choose to progress any you own. It would be genius for this game.

Yea Mango finally nerfed but replaced by OW1 Orisa !! Also who is testing these patches if at all? Illari has infinite or minus ammo now due to a bug, its not allowed to discuss exploits on forums but its super easy to replicate, just look around youtube !!
OW 2 feels like that adopted neglected child and Blizzard just puts on a show when the child services come around to check on it. Stop putting a bandaid on a broken leg and actually put some care into the game, please!

Theres plenty of games out there, those issues are not that weird in almost every other game out there so if you are getting so worked up, take a break before you get a heart attack lol

The game is rancid in comparison to OW. I still play it, problably in hope that it returns to what OW was, however with the upcoming changes, it suggests they have no idea what they’re doing.

I would do anything for a server in Africa, I live in South Africa and cannot play the game with less than 200 ping, despite having really good internet, and for the most part the server closest to me is always down so I end up in UK servers on 300 ping. I really enjoy the game, but I literally can’t deal with this. It’s shocking that multi-million dollar companies refuse to cater for people like me, who are willing to pay for skins and such but because of where we live we don’t matter? I would appreciate a server in Africa
I’d return properly if that were the case. Sadly it doesn’t have the spark it once did.
