Let me explain, I can play on EU but it is starting to be really boring and not productive at all for me so I decided to move to NA servers even if latency doesn’t help.
Why?
I’m not a racist, but I can not play 8 / 10 games with only french people. It is not language the issue, the issue is their extreme toxicity applied to a very low skill or desire to troll continuosly.
It doesn’t happen with Germans, Italians, Spanish, Greeks, Russians, etc… It happens only with French “gamers”. Nothing against French people, I used to live in Les Deux Alpes for 5 years, but in terms of gaming, or at least in this community, I can not play with them anymore.
I was wondering to alternative solutions like restricting gamers to play in specified zones or let a player decide in which zone to play, but I see it would not be the right one.
Do you know better solution to avoid these situations? I feel super happy to play with Asians, but unfortunately latency is terrible, NA is pretty good too but I’m forced to play certein heroes that do not require a fixed, stable, low latency.

That has nothing to do with nation … most people play QP to have fun, and for most of them fun is to troll. That’s why you can’t really learn anything in QP, other than how to troll.
Try LFG, people tend to troll less when in group.
I also find that most of the hard core trolls are French, but there are also many French people who are great to play with. Maybe a large part of EU is made up of French players, so statistically there would be more toxic French people without actually having a higher percentage of toxic people.
Met a couple of French people who can speak English but choose not to, because I can’t speak their language. No one else has done this. I met a Spanish guy once who could barely English, and I can barely speak Spanish, but we gave communication our best damn try.

Ooookay, that’s actually you saying you don’t like french people you come across in the game. And it’s also you being racist, with the true meaning of the word.
Meh they usually fall into the humor of trolling but once ingame if you “play the game” too and then switch to serious when it counts and make call outs, they tend to respond well.
Also putting responsability on them works very well, stuff like “dude you are the DPS go, i will keep you alive GOOO insertnamehere you are our only HOOoOoOoPEEE”, they will laugh and throw some BS at you but then them will put the work in.

Saying that you don’t like french people because they are french is overgeneralizing 67 million people, and racist.
Whenever I find french people they are always in groups of 2+, and they tend to talk to each other and ignore everyone else. I try asking NICELY to talk english so we can communicate but the most common answer is to go f*ck myself :\
Whenever I find male people they always pick dps, overextend, scream at their healers for not healing them in the middle of the enemy team and then blame everybody else for losing. Oh, and they also sing stupid songs they think are funny, and I get the feeling they fantasize about saving a girl they have a crush on, using shurikens.
Edit: do I need to explain I’m illustrating how dumb this “everyone I play with from country X do these bad things. Not racist btw” bvllsh1t is? Some boys behave the way I describe. I tend to notice them. That doesn’t mean they all do, only that I don’t notice the ones that behave ok.
Yes generalisation is a bad thing when it comes to such matters.
Maybe it would be better if people wrote “I have not enjoyed playing with the french people I have encountered in this game” or something like that, the reality is there would have been good & useful french players but OP and others didn’t notice because they had no way of knowing they were french as they didn’t speak.
Every time I switch over to NA my SR goes up. I attribute that to everyone speaking English as a first language. Of course in the EU region even if people have limited English they can still do call-outs and do simple comms but it makes for a better gaming experience when people are able to speak freely and really understand each other.
And that is where the french are famous for not just in gaming.
Instead of them stopping being arrogant and communicate a language they know and others know they rather stick too theirs when meeting people who can’t speak French. This go’s for every country though but you know if you can speak English and the other person as well then just speak English. You can’t speak dutch I can’t speak French so how about we make it easier for us and instead of going oui! oui! my le french best language so me no speak le English!.
Or they were speaking but didn’t do anything dumb enough to stick out. I played with tons of french people, but I can’t say more of them have been horrible than the russians, britts or swedes I’ve met.
Game needs preference based matchmaking like tell on your profile that first language is english 2e language if spoken is dutch for example then it can match you with players that speak similar language, everyone would need to fill this in on profile ofc or it simply would not work, EU has like 23 languages language barrier is a bigger issue then you English speaking players may think, heck i think its important that matchmaker would consider languages spoken more often, cos it can reduce toxicity.
Ofc you cant always have games with English players but matchmaker should avoid putting you in the majority of french games all the time if you do not speak or understand french, i am sure french speaking players would rather have a french speaking player that one that does’t understand anything what they say and is silent.
Problem is not the constant screaming in Italian/French/Spanish/German/Russian/Other - It’s the fact that sometimes communication on the EU Server is much more difficult to NA, and this makes games much more difficult or that, due to misunderstandings, end up in flame.
I mean, look at LFG. How many times you need to refresh the list to try to find a slot in a group that is ‘EN’ and not FR/IT/RUS/DEU and anything else.
Unfortunately, the EU server has a big disadvantage towards the NA one due to the clustering of so many languages.
