I click play but game doesn't launch!

Hello all!

I’ve completed all the steps in your FAQ regarding this issue however none of the suggested fixes have worked for me - not saying they won’t work for you so please go and check them out here

Anyhow I’ve tried them all and nothing seems to have fixed it, It’s been happening for around 3 weeks now but I haven’t bothered to fix it as I’ve been too addicted to WoW, I’d like to play today but I can’t! (Kinda hoped this issue would just go away with a patch or something)

Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Pay special attention to any Razer software you might have installed - if you find any, try to uninstall it and launch Overwatch again.

I have that same problem. I have tried all of the steps in the link you provided but nothing changed.
I have a headset as a Razer brand. but applications are disabled. And what does this have to do with the game?

Just disabling an application may not work. Uninstalling the application completely only has an effect.

it’s still happening to me . like I click the game button and its just stuck and it say “game is running” and nothing happened . it just stuck there.

If you have any of the following programs in your computer, try completely uninstalling them:

  • Razer Chroma SDK
  • Avast
  • Bullguard

Make sure both your operative system and drivers are up to date:
battle.net/support/article/31024

Make sure you deactivate Xbox DVR:
battle.net/support/article/92046

Delete the Battle.net Cache folder:
battle.net/support/article/34721

Repair the game:
battle.net/support/article/7655

Close background applications to make sure there’s no other program interfering with the game:
battle.net/support/article/23848

Hey there,I also have this problem where I click play and is says the game is running but it doesn’t seem to open.It’s like after I click play nothing happens.I play on my laptop btw.Anyone please gimme some tips because I REALLY want to get more Halloween loot boxes before the event expires…

On the launch page go to scan and repair under the options section.
Game should launch after this is complete. I think there is something missing from the latest patch which this fixes. Has to be done after each PC / Battlenet connect though from what I can tell so far.

Ive been stuck on this too. Ive done EVERYTHING told to do and it still wont launch

Trying to load up OW2 and this worked. Game loads now after uninstalling the software below.

whats ur OS? On Linux u need wine-caffee 7.18 or higher (eg in Lutris) then it works. Dunno about Win.
