I don't know what Blizzard is doing, but good god it is bad

I’m honestly surprised that this game is still considered a “Game” at this point. Every flipping patch there something broken beyond words because “Woopsie, Blizzard did an oopsie”.

Here’s my list of recent issues:

  1. Tanks are glorified DPS with defensive skills.
  2. The shop is actually killing the game faster than it’s helping the game.
  3. The Battlepass rewards are so… meh
  4. Got the wrong rewards for my Comp
  5. Got multiple leavers on Comp
  6. Sojourn required a nerf like since day 1
  7. The game falls flat, it’s not engaging enough to keep me entertained for atleast an hour.
  8. The prices are ridicilous, 20$ for an old overwatch 1 skin is just INSANE!
  9. The game has gotten a lot more toxic since the release.
  10. The XP gain on the battlepass was lowered this season.
  11. So many AFKers
  12. So many cheaters
  13. Instead of adding new characters how about fixing the game?!

I’ve played the new season, Ramattra is very underwhelming. The game felt flat after the first week for me. I’m done, It’s not like I’m the only one. I just miss the old days so much where I could jump into games with my friend and have an absolute blast.

OW2:

  1. Lowers the BP XP gain
  2. Needs to renew BP every season
  3. Sells premium skins for $19
  4. Doesn’t update the game as often
  5. Has too many DC and leavers

Gigachad Fortnite:

  1. Increases the BP XP gain at the end of the season immensely to make players who have bought the BP late able to finish it so much so you can level up to 100 in some days
  2. You don’t need to renew the BP
  3. Sells their premium skins for $7-9
  4. Updates their game all the time and gives a lot of free cosmetics to everyone

Honestly, I’m just not a fan of neither. Fortnite had a lot of backlash before they turned into something that was mildly interesting.

But then again since the release of Overwatch 1 Blizzard has not been great at balancing at all. I’m just sad because I’ve invested so much time into this game.

You know there aren’t that many issues, when half of them isn’t technical and just complaints about (the price of) cosmetics.

I could go in detail on each point, but I can’t be too bothered and I’m sure OP wouldn’t even for a second think twice if he’s maybe unreasonable for let’s say one point.

There are many issues, some larger than others, some so incredibly frustrating that it completely ruins the game, but keep jumping on that hype train. Keep the game alive, but with the route they’re taking it’s not going to last that long at all.

As long as people keep buying and demanding cosmetics, Blizzard will need to put a lot of effort in them.

OP is a perfect example of this. He barely talks about the actual game. Just about nonsense that makes your character look shiny (which is barely visible in the game).

And I guess that just means the game is pretty well done, when again half of the list consists of things that have nothing to do with gameplay.

I’ve talked more than enough about the gameplay and I’m fine with arguing about this.

I just see what bothers me, but that doesn’t make me wrong. Maybe my opinions aren’t all right, but just not seeing ANY fault with this game is ridiculous

I’ve never said I don’t see any fault. The matchmaking issues and decay are ridiculous. The bronze 5 bug was horrible. But that’s just how a game works. Bugs come and go.

For me, this isn’t all gamebreaking (and that was my point) and I am still fine with playing the game and becoming better. And the fact is, loads of people think the same.

Everyone sees the faults.

Do they stop someone from having fun playing the game though. No, they don’t. Doesn’t mean we don’t see them.

Bugs come and go, I agree. But for a game that has been out for SO LONG and these issues repeatedly come back is just so frustrating.

How is it that if Blizzard breaks one thing, 20 other things arise. Sure it happens with other Dev teams aswell, but Blizzard is champion in bringing back bugs that were buried and left to die.

Regarding hero balance. It makes perfect sense to me.

With every single hero introduced, balancing needs to be happening around all the other heroes. And once you change the balance for X hero, how will that impact every single other hero?

They will only get the balance right when new heroes aren’t introduced for a certain time.

Which is my main point they first need to fix those issues before pumping out a new one. The threw in Sojourn, Kiriko and now Ramattra in a very short time. They’re currently spewing out so much content that the balancing becomes more difficult since they have to tweak one hero for the other, but if the tweak that other hero its unbalanced at the other one. They should’ve taken the time to first balance the new hero before they bring out a new one otherwise you build a giant backlog of issues, which is also one of the main reasons why a hero like Hog has such a strong presence.

So you would be okay with no new heroes coming out for a year or so? Because that’s probably what is required.

Yes, something’s are a little op right now.

But remember this, actual balance is a myth. If they keep moving things, keep introducing new stuff to keep that “balance” fresh and moving. That’s the optimal outcome.

No patch will please everyone. The trick is not having that patch stick for too long.

Well, they can fix most issues if they just took a bit more time instead. Imo it might be too late now since they’ve brought out so many new heroes at once.

I’m not an iPhone fanboy at all? Reported for offensive language though. Keep it civil and try acting like you’re grown up some time.

People are allowed to think the game is quite fun you know.

Not everyone is bothered by the price of skins.

That’s because Epic fully owns their own game so their developers have full creative freedom. The OW team have to do whatever the higher ups and shareholders for Activision tell them whether they like it or not.

I’m not trying to excuse them at all but I don’t think the devs have as much say in what they’re doing as people think they do.
