I lived to see them all

So I was playing competitive today , on Junkertown map .In attack we had a 2-2-2 comp against a 1-2-3 comp , and our zen (who had his ult ready) decided to switch off to a dps keep saying that we need 3 dps because the enemy team has 3 also (leaving me as solo healer). So by that guy’s logic a dps > then Zen with transcendence ready to use. He was also convinced that Ashe counters Widow, it’s amazing how these people have higher rank than bronze.

This game is getting really frustrating with this type of people in it.

I totally feel you, that is always annoying when your team switches to a dps from healer. That has happened to me so many times.

But what i don’t understand is what you mean by “ashe can’t counter widow”??? Ehm i’ve seen so many people doing just that.

And even i have killed widow as ashe, so i don’t really agree on that one.

Ashe is not a direct counter for Widow , in a 1v1 duel Widow always wins unless she is rly bad . Ashe can’t 1 shot a widow by herself where a widow can do just that.

But you can still counter her, it’s not impossible.

That…is not very bad actually. Ashe is not the worst character to take Widow down(imagine if he went for Torb or Mei instead) and switching between classes is not uncommon either. Maybe he was sucking as a Zen, or maybe he didn’t like playing him, and the other team’s composition gave him a convenient excuse.

Like imagine if all of us started to make threads about the little things that annoyed us in every much. Crazy…

1st off he was the one to 1st pick the hero in team and he chose zen , nobody forced him to do so, he waited untill he got his ultimate ready and then he switched off.
Zen’s ult is one of the most powerful in the game, and he just decided to throw it away. That’s gameplay sabotage. As about the Ashe yes Ashe can kill widow but is not the best pick against widow since Widow can do 300 dmg headshot fully charged, while ashe can only headshot for 170 dmg as I already explained. I play both Widow and Ashe , i’m sure i know what i’m talking about.

In a perfect world when you try to counter you pick the best counter and know how to play them. In the real world you pick the hero you know how to play and has a chance of dealing with the problem.
Also picking something in the beginning and then switching off mid-game is not that uncommon. The game didn’t go as planned, it happens. Switching when at full ultimate is not a gameplay sabotage, otherwise failed ultimates would be gameplay sabotage too.

At least they weren’t some kind of polly that thought playing Zenyatta was cultural appropriation or something.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone switches from healer to DPS in a game. Somebody else should have switched if you needed someone to take down Widow.

There was no widow in that game , he was just randomly saying stuff. And we had Winston , Dva , genji . He switched because he was convinced that we should have 3 dps against a team of 3 dps 2 heals 1 tank.
