I was toxic to someone and I feel like crap

I called someone a “dummy” because the game was falling apart and they weren’t cooperating. They were part of a 3 stack and said they are going to report me, and I deserve it tbh.

I always try to be nice online to others so I just felt like crap afterwards. I tried adding the guy as a friend so I could make peace but I think they rejected.

It was a good reminder for me to stay composed and nice even when having a bad run and am on a losing streak.

Reading the paragraph, i thought that this would be a rant. But then, it went wholesome again.

Everyone has a bad time once or twice but “when you worry, your face will frown and that will bring everyody down.” So don’t get upset and try to make the best out of it. Giving the others good vibes is always good.

This is not the same gif I spam everywhere. This one has different text :}

Here is some advice for when you feel toxic.

The loss is everyone’s fault
A tank will say they are not getting healed or the dps are not killing

A healer would say they are not being protected and that the dps are not killing things

A DPS player would say that they are not being healed and that the tanks are not creating enough space to get the kills.

When I’m mad I remember this and it reminds me that it is no ones fault that we lost and that it was just a disfunctional team and that the enemy was better.

That’s why ultimately, the report system works. You will get your 3 reports and you will feel bad about it, but because you’re not an overall toxic person but very willing to reflect upon your actions, those reports won’t matter in the long run. Everyone has those episodes, the question is always whether or not we’re able to limit them.

The best way to not let it happen at all is to be proactive - start voice by greeting everyone, talk about party comp in a positive manner - that way you set a positive tune for the rest of the game, not only for the team but also for yourself. Then of course there are games like:
Me: Hello everyone.
Hanzo: STFU.
or
Me: Hey, 5-stack, could you please join team voice?
5-stack:

But at least it makes it less likely…

Yesterday I did my best to make amends. Even though I lost more than I won and dropped back to plat, I was overly friendly every game, even the quiet ones who wouldn’t join vc, I tempted them to start speaking and joining in with call outs, etc.

It’s not about the word, I was mean to someone and that’s wrong.
