Hey developers and community
I’d like to kindly ask to consider implementing a “squelch” button for players in Overwatch as well.
I’m a human just as any other though I am considered on the spectrum which gives me sensory issues from input considered difficult to cope with.
I’ve gotten used to the game, callouts and barely have issues, besides having to mute people in voice sometimes.
The latest problem however is the repeated use of voice lines in very short time causing all sorts of noisy and distorted audio issues.
Some players seem to enjoy doing that throughout the entire match, which makes me exhausted and dizzy from the input while disturbing and frustrating others. When asked to stop doing that I got replied “Are you that easily distracted”. It ended up with me having to mute the entire game, which I did too late and I stopped playing as soon as the match ended.
Everyone can have fun. They can do what they want as long as there’s friendly play and a good attitude, which makes this whole thing a bit difficult to point out.
Since everyone can have a bad day, and for some…much more than others…
And since audio input from ingame characters is key, maybe it’s best to give the player the tool to decide to end such noise from a player?
Kind regards
