Impossible to rank up if your team loses

Isn’t it frustrating when your team loses and you can’t rank up only because of losing. Yes I understand how the system works but hear me out!
I play support and have been at least good in all of my games. I always heal double amount comparing to enemy healers or just outplay all healers in general. I can’t personally rank up because our team loses or even get into matches that match my skills. This is very frustrating when trying to play and the games are nothing for my skills and I lose because our team. It isn’t fair. I think that the ranking system should be more focused in ones skills and performance in game in order to get to right rank and not being totally accountable of your teams lack of skills and losing.

Does anyone agree with me? Should the ranking system be different for the individual to succeed? And should ow2 team look into this? I feel like they should

Rank progression should be based on personal performance.

In a perfect world without throwers/leavers and cheaters, i would agree that it should be based on your team’s performance, but in this game, there is no ‘team’ when you’re matched with random players who throw/leave games using alt accounts, be it due to win trading or because they’re just so bad that they can’t stand sticking around to finish the matches they join after getting killed once or twice and being an alt account, they couldn’t care less.

Then there’s the fact that the game even punish those who get left behind by giving them an L if the leaver decides to bolt when there’s 1 minute left on the clock.

They need to re-design it so that the lobby closes the second someone leaves, where nobody gets punished except for the person who left the match.

I can see why you have so many issues with things.

i agree. an individual has its alot tougher than instant premades.

i also think that just because group finder has been taken away from us that premades should be punished for being matched against solo players, considering they can have the upper hand in communicating more frequently than the average solo player.

Turning to toxicity when someone calls out your moot arguments is a weakness and makes you lose any debate you join.
